Oh for FUCKS SAKE. Even after defeating a objectively bad progressive, this moderate dumbass cannot help but keep on snatching defeat from the jaws of victory by ignoring the people who will vote him in.

It’s like Trump successfully positioning himself as the peace candidate because Harris couldn’t bring herself to condemn a genocide, and couldn’t help herself from saying things like “I will ensure America has the most lethal fighting force in the world” at the DNC. Or like when Trump managed to position himself as the peace candidate because his opponent was the butcher of Libya who couldn’t bring herself to condemn the illegal invasion of Iraq she voted for.

Even after defeating a objectively bad progressive

    :-/

I love “objectively bad” on a subjective scale.

But I love “these Far-Leftist candidates who advocate for everything I agree with are totally unelectable, unlike the corporate empty-suite dweebs I despise” even more.

Why do you think Crowley (and the rest of his corporate media allies) campaigned on frivolous bullshit and made the election about Hong being Too Woke? Where do you think he got all his money to run attack ads?

    Fucking morons.

I mean that;s fine, I’ll just say she was dog shit at politics then and a empirically bad candidate that had no political sense that she couldn’t win run a campaign on great ideas that others made work. I mean even in Florida, FLORIDA for fucks sake, her fellow DSA candidate won her primary and other progressives were running won.

Hong was just bad at everything, couldn’t or wouldn’t address her controversial post history. She was bad at her debates. She was so timid that she couldn’t stand up for what she believed in. She was so bad that Sanders didn’t endorse her.

And even with all of that, she still barely lost. People want the policies but not with someone that came off as incompetent as her and not every progressive candidate is a good one, she was just particularly dog ass shit.

Bernie didn’t endorse her the same reason he didn’t endorse Angie Nixon - they were both candidates in states where he didn’t feel hopeful for a win and he didn’t want to risk being blamed had they lost.

Part of the reason Nixon won was due to her finding a coalition between white liberals and black voters.

Hong barely lost, or in other words, she could have just as well won. Abdul could just have easily lost, but he benefited from having Bernie’s endorsement and being the first to have Hasan rally with him. There was way more media attention on his campaign than there was on Hong’s. By that time, the media had developed their playbook: dig up pointless social media posts; point out the most “radical” policies from the DSA platform; condemn the candidate for associating with Hasan Piker.

You clearly didn’t follow the campaign that closely if you’re just finding out now that her opponent supported data centers.

I doubt her post history had as much as the media claims it did, and if you are among those people that believe it did, you are just as gullible to the bullshit the media spins.

Sure. She should have backed genocide in Gaza and data centers squatting on your front lawn. Then she’d have won against the guy who got back in the race because a bird told him to do it in a dream.

        People want the policies

Not the people profiting off the status quo

Oh for fucks sake. You are such a unserious person with your bullshit strawman, perpetual victimhood.

Again, other progressives like El-Sayed, Angie Nixon, Miranda Lopez, N’Kiyla Jasmine Thomas have all ran with progressive politics, being against APIAC, being against the war in Gaza, being against the tech bros and they WON their elections just fine against their moderate opponents. You just can’t admit that she was just too damn flawed and weak willed to be seen as serious. and lost because of that.

Me and you, we will never see eye to eye on things as you cannot see past your perceived victimhood just as bad as any MAGA extremist and can’t have any introspection, it’s always the fault of someone else.

Thank god non-internet progressives actually have sense in their heads to learn.

What’s crazy is both candidates are for building more ai datacenters. One of them is just too stupid and greedy to see that position is incredibly unpopular.

This may be unpopular, but data centers are a modern necessity. HOWEVER, these mega centers for ai processing and mass surveillance MUST be stopped.

They can also be built to not require any water, or cause pollution (sound, environment, air quality).

They very clearly are not though. The “both sides are the same” rhetoric is pushed by Republicans for a reason, and that reason is that the obviously shittier of the two sides would really like people to think their shittiness is average.

Democrats refuse to acknowledge their side is complicit because they don’t want to face the fact their team is on the same side as Republicans.

The guy that said both shades of fascism are the same is a Republican?

Do liberals ever listen to themselves? They hear a critique of BlueMAGA and they instinctively assume it’s coming from MAGA

Well, if you’re okay assuming that I’m a liberal because I understand the concept of not letting perfection be the enemy of the good, why is it not okay to consider you a Republican when you’re basically arguing that we should let them win?
