I’ve tried using collections in Jellyfin to mimic my folders, but it’s not great. Collections are very slow when you get a lot of content in them, plus they only take albums, not songs. Took a weekend to script the stuff in using the API, but wasn’t worth it.
I’ll try navidrome soon.
I don’t disagree, but have to say that I love the new Solaris’ soundtrack.

His Girl Friday (1940)
The best screwball movie ever made. Fast, funny, but with an edge. Doesn’t feel it’s age to me at all.

you can configure the keys separately… but it does not work right - F remains hard coded for some features
when you can rebind movement keys (I’m an esdf player as opposed to wasd), but it does not rebind consistently. So a map is panned using wasd still, or menu browsing is, or even basic movement in a mini-game, or driving using a vehicle etc. It seems developers rarely really test anything but wasd…
Worst was cyberpunk, which always jettisoned me from the car in a super dramatic leap… on every right turn. XD
edit: also, when rebound keys are not represented correctly in tutorials or prompts… ugh.

I’ve been told it’s usually at night because it’s coldest, and batteries work less well the colder they get. Makes sense to me, still sucks though.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is something you enjoy doing but suck at?
6·11 months agoI’ve been playing Clonehero drumming for about four years now. Nearly every day… and I still suck, miss pads completely, piss poor timing, no groove. Still enjoy it.

More Gigerian and claustrophobic, but vaguely similar. I did not much like its gameplay though, the 3d made me nauseous.

edit: I forgot Guitar Hero / Clone Hero was a game not a ‘standard hobby’, I play e-drums on that daily still…
If you also disconnect the power, just remember that this drains the CMOS battery in the motherboard. That’s okay, just know that it may help to replace it if your machine has issues booting, time resets, etc.

CloneHero drumming on an e-kit. Still suck at it, still love doing it, every day.
It’s a great challenge and a real workout in one.
