Linux@lemmy.ml•If you have to pick only one Desktop Environment and use it till your computer breaks, what would you choose?English
3·1 year agoNot a DE, but I’ve been using sway for around 5 years now, and I have no intention of moving away from it unless something really bad happens. I love using it, and it’s been behaving perfectly all tgis time.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Which fictional character comes to your mind first when someone says strong, independent woman?
21·2 years agoCaptain/Admiral Kathryn Janeway
Yeah, every morning for the past 2 years. It’s part of my morning routine and I wouldn’t skip it for anything. It’s only 10min and it’s been really transformative.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What are the things / events which had the deepest impact in your life?
6·2 years agoThe first big breakup which pushed me to reevaluate everything and then learning about this little thing call psychology which, eventually, led to the understanding that I have ADHD. That knowledge turned my whole world upside-down. For the better.
hells yes! congrats!
Selling my current motorcycle, getting a new one, and finally getting to go and see some places I’ve wanted to ride through for years
It had an opet beta weekend prior to fully releasing as “A Realm Reborn”
3 years (or is it 4? What is time?) on arch exclusively and I do quite a lot of gaming. It’s been great. There were a few occasions over the years where something didn’t work, while others on ProtonDB had seemingly flawless experiences, but it was always just a few minor tweaks. Much better experience than what I had on Manjaro prior to switching. Also, this is all on Wayland (sway) and even with that, it’s been great. BTW.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's the best morning habit/routine you were able to adopt?
4·2 years agoI certainly hope that’s a rhetorical question.
Best regards, The cat.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's the best morning habit/routine you were able to adopt?
181·2 years agoLove my current routine and it’s doing wonders for my health, both phisically and mentally (or at least I believe it is, it might be a placebo):
- waking up every day at the same time
- bathroom (toilet, teeth, washing face)
- glass of water with a multivitamin and omega-3 (I’m vegan and this is so much easier than finding food that has all that)
- playing with the cat (I have no coice in this, she says it must be so, it is, therefore, so)
- ~15min of yoga
- ~10min of meditation
And then it’s coffee and work time. I’ve been on this routine for about 2 years now and I feel amazing since starting with it.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Do you usually purchase digital or physical books? Why?
2·2 years agoPhysical. And then, depending on what I feel like, maybe download a digital copy somewhere and read it on my ereader. Usually the case with big, phat books that I don’t feel like holding for a longer time or lugging around with me.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's the longest line you've ever waited in?
2·2 years ago3.5h in line in a very cold Venice to see a Dalí exhibit
Intermittent fasting and A LOT of physical exercise - running and cycling mostly, with some longer walks and hiking. By “a lot” I mean every day at least one activity. One day something more vigorous, then the next something light (a walk in most cases)

Android@lemmy.world•Did Google ever say why it killed the bottom address bar in Chrome? (And what's your fave browser?)English
1·3 years agoAnd another vote for Vivaldi
Used to be Test Drive: Unlimited, then the second one. After that, I moved to The Crew 1 and later 2. A big open world and car/motorcycle to ride around is unmatched when it come to just kicking back and relaxing in a game.

Fuck Cars@lemmy.ml•How many times have you been nearly hit by a car as a pedestrian or cyclist?English
2·3 years agoNearly hit? Countless times. Been hit twice on my bike in the last month. Thankfully I walked (cycled) away with a bruised leg, but it was a close call.

I watch The Hogfather every Christmas (Hogswatch?) Eve. Think the count is up to 11 or 12 now.
