Unpopular opinion: If we ended fossil fuel use immediately a lot of people would die and the entire economy would collapse. People would starve because stores wouldn’t be stocked. People would freeze to death because they wouldn’t be able to heat their homes. Looting and violence would soon follow.

The only people who would likely be ok are the ultra wealthy.

Change takes time and right now there are no alternatives that can immediately absorb the extra load from cutting off fossil fuels.

I set mine to manual. It updated in the middle of the night once and my alarm didn’t go off and made me a few hours late to work. Could have totally fucked me over if my boss wasn’t cool about it.

Seriously. I bought wireless earbuds for working out. They fit perfectly when dry, but if I’m not careful when working out they’ll get sweaty and slip out. This used to happen occasionally with wired ear buds too but at least there was a cable to keep them from falling on the floor. Anyone have suggestions?
