3·2 years agoYou’re not going to find an antivirus that isn’t intrusive because that is their entire duty. However, Kaspersky has a very high malware detection rate compared to other AV solutions
I like the Ultrachrome CSS mod. It doesn’t massively change the interface - but it looks a bit nicer imo

102·2 years agoI mean linux is a better bet. Less bloat so it’ll run better.
Otherwise, you can install windows 10 LTSC, use massgravel’s activation scripts and use some anti-spyware tools such as windows spy blocker for the peak windows experience.

9·2 years agoIt’s ironic that when a dev says its ok to pirate their game, I feel a greater urge to purchase it legitimately. Maybe it’s because you have to be a certain level of cool to say that.

1·2 years agoYoutube and spotify do not offer lossless codecs. I prefer using tools like qbdlx and deemix but not all music can be found on said services. That is where torrents come in.

16·2 years agoI was a lurker on Lemmy before the api scandal and tbh it was completely dead. What arose from the scandal was not Reddits downfall, as many of us mightve hoped for at the time, but rather an equally glorious revival of Lemmy.

Piracy: ꜱᴀɪʟ ᴛʜᴇ ʜɪɢʜ ꜱᴇᴀꜱ@lemmy.dbzer0.com•What does a post-piracy world look like?English
2·2 years agoGame piracy is currently in a precarious position, given how difficult it’s become to crack denuvo. Games without denuvo still release very often, but especially in the AAA space, piracy is definitely slowing down

Firefox@lemmy.ml•Finally back down to 14 tabs, still too embarrassed to show anyone
3·2 years agoI use multiple windows for multiple purposes. When I’m done with one of the windows, I shut it down. I find it to be a decent organisational method, although I still end up with about 20ish tabs regularly

You need to disable resist fingerprinting. It’s annoying, but you can reenable it after you’ve logged in

3·2 years agoI think most people who have found themselves on the fediverse are probably not normies, even if they might think so.
It works but it’s config interface looks borked
Edit: NVM, it also breaks some sites
