4·2 months agoCunk is likely the greatest philosopher of our time.
My company is doing small trial runs and trying to get feedback on if stuff is helpful. They are obviously pushing things because they are hopeful, but most people report that AI is helpful about 45% of the time. I’m sorry your leadership just dove in head first. That’s sound like such a pain.
I’ve found that near every post I’ve made only has nice comments. Unless it is political lol, but thats par for the course. I believe in you!

11·2 months agoI knew a girl through marching band in college that was like a fire hose of word vomit except it wasn’t a story, just pure unfiltered internal monologue. If you listened closely you’d hear some real gems, but it was near impossible to focus on for any appreciable amount of time.
Hey airbnb’s have fine cum stains. Adequate even.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•How does one stop comparing oneself to others?English
1·2 months agoI seem to compare less when I care more about contributing than winning. I feel more stablely valuable when I feel I am working towards a greater good.
Also, I don’t think comparison is a conscious thing. Not every time at least. So really a good angle may be to try and be more accepting and react more comfortably to the comparisons you naturally make.
We have very different samples then lol. (I’m talking about the spitting part, I do not know any porn stars)

If the appeal has a name on it then there could still be bias. Somewhat related: I heard job applications still got biased reviews with names redacted because the contents were culturally specific enough.

Nice article! I am also one of the few music peertubers, but I guess I don’t necessarily look like that at a glance lol.
It’s good to see folks helping with peertube’s pretty abismal discoverability lol. Appreciate ya.
Fun fact! If I recall correctly, calling them Arabic numerals is a eurocentric thing. The numbers were introduced to Greeks through Arabic folks but the ideas actually originated in India.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Americans of Lemmy, what are your thanksgiving family traditions?English
8·3 months agoHonestly all it is for my family is eat the big meal and watch the game. I usually nap during the latter part because I ate so much.
If I’m at my moms then we might do some games. Sometimes we do what is called an “auction party”. Where everyone who shows up brings two things they don’t want anymore. Then we all get the same amount of fake money and sit in the same room and bid on it. I can be real funny with gag items going through long bidding wars. It can also be pretty helpful to get an item you actually care about.
During a covid auction party a half used bottle of hand sanitizer had an absolutely riotous bidding war over it.

I agree. I had one super asshole on my team a while back and it was hell. I dreaded every meeting. Once he left I realized how much I enjoy everyone else on my team. Lot of really great folks.
