Selfhosted@lemmy.world•What's everyone's favourite "oh shit" live ISO?English
1·3 years agoThis is the way. Since my switch to arch this has been the quickest way to get back up and running.
Before that, I’d used the gparted live image.

FoodPorn@lemmy.world•[Homemade] Ribeye on the bbq with thyme butterEnglish
3·3 years agoDid you use any smoking chips? In the summer I like to do my ribeye with a dry rub I let sit for a few days and then grill with mesquite smoke.
Otherwise I’ll finish with a shallot, thyme, garlic, butter basting in cast iron.

Formula 1@lemmy.ml•Fuel burn set for F1 return as result of 2026 engine planEnglish
3·3 years agoI think you’re right with the reason you provided. Spending fuel to keep the MGU-H generating power wastes fuel if the energy can’t be used.

6·3 years agoCome to think of it, Minnesota already has a National park too (Voyagers). It’s funny because I know from Minnesota goes to the boundary waters and I hardly hear people talk about Voyagers.

24·3 years agoMinnesota or Michigan. These states have some of the best Great Lakes shoreline and are less inhabited in their north ends. If the UP counted as it’s own state, I’d say the UP.

Technology@beehaw.org•Reactions to the Apple Headset from the SimulaVR team
3·3 years agoThese “for work headsets” are neat from a technical standpoint. But it’s a solution looking for a problem. Multi monitor set ups already exist (for a much lower price) and I presume are less finicky to use.
This could be nice for working on the go, but the reality is people who need that much screen real estate work in a single location.

Looks like someone created an install script for photoshop on Linux. Uses wine to run.
