4·1 day agoIt’s sometimes difficult for us to be patient and kind with others, I know the feeling.
Reflecting on what we said to a person, and how it might have been received, can help us gain a better understanding of how to interact with them to get the outcomes we want, whilst remaining positive, empathetic, and keeping toxic behaviour at bay.
Why do you keep replacing characters in your comment with a weird symbol, making it difficult to read?
Anyway, that sucks, but at least you learned from the disaster and hopefully could apply some of those lessons to your life going forward. It was an awful day for space flight, and for humanity.
People are capable of being annoyed by something but still make peace with their feelings and get on with their day.
Can some people not do this?
Not to mention that their partner is annoyed, but that doesn’t mean they suddenly don’t love them any more.
People weirdly paint each other as black and white, completely this or completely that, and don’t consider maturity and complexity. It’s odd.
How is a phone call any different from speaking in person?
You’re talking to each other, only the phone call is more convenient as it can be placed from anywhere :-D
The true appropriate response, unless you’re being paid to be on call, is to wait until you clock in the next day, THEN respond.
If you’re not being paid to work, why do it?
If they’re just making a request, why not put it in an email instead of chatting with you?

Sounds like he clearly cares more about his ego than international peace, no?
A world leader being so obviously childishly petty with serious international matters that shamefully embarrasses their country on the world stage and damages their relationships with other nations will blow up in their face big time.
Maybe his party will vote him out and replace him this month, to save face and avoid prolonging a scandal? That’s how it’d go in the UK, at least.
