That’s exactly my point, specially because when I started making my daily planner for work it helped a lot with my ADHD, so the point is to find something to help even more! Thank you very much!
Kind of confused by wanting handwriting recognition while not using a pen? Are you writing with your finger?
Hahahaha you have a good point and I’m sorry I didn’t explained that before! For now, yes, I’m writing with my finger!
I’m taking a look to see if I’ll get used to taking notes and planning my day with my tablet before expending money in a pen that I’d only use for this.
Also, thanks for the recommendation! I tried Good Notes but I think the handwriting recognition is a paid feature. I will take a look if there’s a trial!

9·2 years agoOh, thanks for showing the other side! Like always, things are not just black and white.
I have never heard about Melroy before, but I was scared by the last comment. It’s nice to hear that there are nice people working on this branch :)

For my basic knowledge working side by side with a lot of devs, I totally agree with the way Ernest thinks. It’s essential for a product that’s growing up to have a solid core that will not need to be rewrote in the near future.
But also, as an user, I keep wishing we could see more features, like the API for mobile apps.
I mean, besides what Ernest and Melroy thinks that’s the right way, there’s also what the users need, what the users want and what the project needs to escalate (new features vs core rewriting). And probably there’s not a right answer for that.

25·2 years agoHonest question: what’s the reason to make a fork instead of contributing do kbin itself?
Thanks for explaining!
Now I know it’s almost like they’re asking for me to uninstall their app!

Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•No thanks, I'll just tap my guitar instead.
13·3 years agoSame here! Many years ago I paid for a lifetime subscription and I really don’t regret it (but only because it was an one-time payment for life).
Watch out, he’s going to virtually punch you until you upvote his comment, like a real man would do
You mean when violence was more aceptable than talking? Of course I remember (even because it still exists) and I’m very happy that society is evolving

1·3 years agoThey probably still are the owners of the device and would make you pay for a new one right when they discover that you’re not generating revenue anymore.
I had never heard of it before and I liked the concept, but to me it looks like a lot of work for users to connect to each other via QR codes, making it impracticable for a lot of people, don’t it?
From what I saw, the updates are just rare and occasional bug corrections, but never new features.
I really like Pluma, but it looks like that the dev just abandoned it

Fediverse@kbin.social•Full, expanded list of all the data points and their purposes that Meta's Threads collect and link to user accounts. It's even more insane than you might've thought.
0·3 years agoQuestion: all these permitions are allowed by default? Or the app asks for it and you can allow them or not from Android/iOS permissions, like notifications?
I think that the answer for all your questions is “no”.

Fediverse@lemmy.world•4 days before reddit's 3rd party app shutdown, Lemmy daily active users has skyrocketed 1600% this month
0·3 years agoSo, just to understand it better: Lemmy counts only accounts registered at Lemmy’s instances? It wouldn’t count count me as an user (even commenting at Lemmy’s communities) because my account is from Kbin, that’s right?

4·3 years agoIf I can give you an advice: don’t stop trying to get used to kbin.
For me, at the beginning it felt a little complex and hard to find what I wanted, but after some days it started to feel like home and everything now makes sense (except for the upvote button that don’t really upvote a post)!
