Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•The more revealing of the 2 is OK and the less revealing is bad?
144·20 hours agoNo, it isn’t.
The woman on the left has planned on being seen that way.
The woman on the right hasn’t.Same way you have no issue when someone sees you sitting in front of your computer at the office.
But if someone suddenly barged into your room at 2am, you’d feel it as a violation of your privacy.
Even if you may be doing and wearing the exact same things.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Would you trade lifespan for time in-the-moment?
18·20 hours agoBoth types of time are exactly the same.
I don’t really get what you mean by “having more time-in-the-moment”?
Your entire lifetime is time-in-the-moment.
You can spend any amount of it talking to people, thinking, or whatever. If you have no control over what you can do with your time, this isn’t a time issue. It’s a freedom issue.

Cause feeding that with drone footage from Ukraine would not end well for the human race.
Are you 2 LLMs?

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What’s a cheap purchase that’s completely changed your life?
5·1 day agoI roughly follow this, with 3x12 repetitions (The green line is as far as I got).

Don’t try to rush progression, that’s not the point.
Only progress if you can do the current level in good form, slowly, without using inertia.
No, they aren’t.

Here, I fixed your post for you:
I’ve been wanting to tell people that I use Arch.
I’ve been considering the following distros:
- Arch
- Not Arch
- Not Arch
- Any others?
I’m leaning towards Arch or Not Arch.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What’s a cheap purchase that’s completely changed your life?
12·2 days agoA CO monitor would be a cheap purchase that can prevent your life changing completely. Might already be too late though.

16·2 days agoA yoga mat and a pull-up bar for a door frame.
Just seeing it hanging there all the time was enough to motivate me to start a daily calisthenics routine. Now instead of having to drive to a gym, get changed, shower afterwards, etc. which would take 2 hours out of my day, I just do a quick 1 minute set of a progressive calisthenics routine 20 times a day.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is there anything like church without the church?
641·2 days agoTeam sports, volunteer work, social clubs, table top rpgs, choir or a band, basically any hobby you do offline in a group,…
Honestly the fact that you have to ask this question kinda shows how broken the society you live in is.
This is what’s called a “third place”. And they’ve been deliberately killed off or commercialized.
It’s a…mail notification??
You’re complaining that Wayland sucks cause it isn’t backwards compatible with your favorite desktop widget?
OK.

26·2 days agoI mean yeah, not just over time.
And it stinks, and you might not want it on your hands. Also, everyone touches that nozzle and no one washes their hands before or after. It makes sense that there are gloves, I just never saw anyone who bothered to use them.

X was broken as fuck and held together by duct tape and zip ties, as long as no one looked at it wrong.

Solar power? I don’t know, sounds kinda woke.
