@myszka I think a fork would be necessary to add it
you could also create a feed that fetches articles only, it would be dope!

@myszka the cleanest way to do this would be to just allow Mastodon users to create “Articles” in ActivityPub actors and enable markdown support in them imo

@CraigCabbage maybe I don’t know proboards, but you can’t federate it with activitypub

@CraigCabbage should be compatible with internet, or if you want you can also buy some old stuff through eBay, its also cheap

@CraigCabbage why can’t you? no wifi and no ethernet? how old the computer is ?

@CraigCabbage if you have maybe a 10years old computer you can install Linux through the bios to run mastodon or any fediverse software. you can also pick a sub domain name to have a free domain name. once you got both, you may need an extra storage but basically you will be able to own an instance for free

@clot27 atm you could use mastodon client like ivory for your bluesky account through skybridge but idk if we still can

@thenexusofprivacy so if I follow your pattern, we can also consider twitter as an instance of the activitypub fediverse as some accounts are crossposting/mirroring their twitter acccount on mastodon (as such as @_formula1_) ?

@thenexusofprivacy to me, as long as bluesky can’t properly communicate and federate with any social network (activitypub apps included) we can’t define it as fediversed but I’m curious to have your opinion

@thenexusofprivacy we can’t tell bluesky is fediverse even though it’s decentralized imo
@chottomatte federation should be an as invisible as impossible for the fediverse to be mainstream imo

@iorale I think the fediverse is ready but only if big companies federates and opt out (unlike threads). the thing is that the fediverse can’t be the principal argument to attract users yet, interface and simplicity (such as threads) are the key components to bring users in

@celsiustimeline @Yorick the most important thing is people to know about activitypub protocol. softwares like mastodon, misskey pixelfed or even threads are just tools that serve activitypub
@julian @a_gee_dizzle @rimu @nutomic @BentiGorlich @melroy I’m replying from mastodon, don’t you see it ?
