Estonia is kinda shitty imo (im estomian🇪🇪). We dont have any big political activity except Tartu. Most people are still with this soviet mindset that you can’t have impact on anything. Which lead to status quo coming to power , thus increasing poverty, and now conservatives get more popular, because they promise infinite QoL and money glitch, which will lead to even worse conditions of the country i assume. Estomian electorate can not think about any left idealogies apparently.

This system is unsustainable and leads to anything but socialism. Socialism without democracy is not socialism by the very fundamental idea of socialism, the society supposed to own the means of production, not the state oligarchs , that cannot be replaced by democratic voting. Instead you get corpocracy wanting to expand (definitely not imperialism, but a good will), crushing everything beneath them, putting oligarchs, censoring everything and locking down their people.

If you need an alternative to US imperialism and tankie dictatorship, how about getting rid of any hegemony, thus weakening the most dangerous actor (US) , and then do political activism all together , to return to the strong social-democratic baseline, and then, Meidner’s plan, independent workers unions, worker’s self-management and trying different approaches to moving from free market to market socialism or similar.

That’s what Pirate parties advocate for, actually. They do seem to gain back in popularity with the chat control proposal. Problem of the mainstream left parties is that they heavily underrate importance of free software. Underrate to the level of buying iphones, macbooks, subscriptions and so forth. Pirate parties are actually nice step to secure privacy of left-activists in the neoliberal future.
