Adam Ragusea is pretty fantastic for showing the ‘why’ for sure.

I also like America’s Test Kitchen, because they do a lot of discussion about why things work and test different conditions to make recipes that are the easiest and clearest they can be. I have yet to have a recipe from their videos or cookbook fail.

What kind of seasoning do you use for making sausage? I’ve been contemplating making my own since I’ve been eating more of it but can’t find a recipe for seasoning that sounds appealing.

Arroz Mexicano (literally Mexican rice). It’s simple and quick to make but the flavor is vibrant and comforting at the same time. And if you top it with a fried egg (slightly less traditional) then it’s a full hearty meal!

Anchovies are great! I usually try to explain that they’re not really fishy, just a lovely burst of salty umami greasiness. No one will share my anchovy pizza though.

Lengua is the freaking best, but any of my friends or coworkers who didn’t grow up eating it just look at me like I’ve lost my mind when I order it. (My partner being the exception, but he doesn’t want to eat it.)

Also I just had yellowtail cheeks for the first time this past year and oh my God. What a flavor and texture!

I just watched this with my partner last week, and every so often one of us will just look at the other and go “Mom. My nuts?”

The one in the upper left already looks like one of the masks from the Purge movie. Down to the plasticky shine.

She’s said before on record that she isn’t an American citizen, and complained that she pays taxes but hasn’t even gotten ‘honorary citizenship’ for it. I don’t know if she’s just full of crap but she’s literally used those words.

1/3 cup Kewpie mayo, 3 Tbsp sweet chili sauce, 1-1.5 Tbsp Sriracha. Makes a nice dipping sauce that is basically bang bang sauce with less sweetness.

My vacuum sealer, for sure. It’s not only great for prepping to sous vide, it gives me extra room in my tiny freezer if I seal stuff instead of putting it in a container or even a plastic bag. And bonus, I haven’t had a single case of freezer burned meat since I started using it.

Penzey’s has outstanding smoked paprika if you’re in the US! I’m not sure they ship elsewhere though.

I love Woo Young Woo, even with the Savant trope. She has some really relatable traits and the series feels so wholesome.

Tripe. I can’t stand the smell while menudo is cooking but it’s so damn tasty!

It’s absolutely delicious. One of the halal places near me has it and it’s so good on a burger with sauteed mushrooms and cheddar.

Honkai: Star Rail has made me ugly cry twice in the last two story patches. I didn’t expect it, but the story of the Flamechase has been super emotional for me. “You shall walk with greed and die over petty change”.

The microwave crawl in MGS4 had tears streaming down my face without me realizing it until the end of the section.

Same, at least for the parents. I’ve been at a couple of friends’ weddings and they were pretty delightful.
