I also have had the 10hz stutter issue. But I tried this and for now it does not seem to occur anymore https://forum.fairphone.com/t/fp6-refresh-rate-dropping-seemingly-random/119947/44

It sucks 😞 I use the feature a lot. Luckily you can still use it for the foreseeable future in the web app… But I don’t really use the watch together feature on the web app when I use it. They’ve sent an e-mail which is more confusing. They mentioned the watch together feature was quickly implemented on the current version. (Was it because of COVID? I don’t remember) So it means the feature should be relatively straightforward to implement in the new version? Right? Especially since they mention they spent two years rewriting their apps “from the ground up” to enable them " to bring new features to you more efficiently, across more platforms, with much higher quality than ever before"
Also if they developed it from the ground up they could have taken into account the watch together feature to rewrite as well. They either did not want to implement it from the start. Or noticed it wasn’t compatible with the new tech they wanted to use in the new versions.
The mail
It was the year 2020. Life had gotten very different, very fast. Then, at the request of a fan named Joe, Plex Labs quickly put in some long hours creating a way for the world to watch together when circumstances kept us apart. It wasn’t perfect, but this experimental feature created human connection in a time when we needed it most. Now, five years later, we are nearing the official release of our new Plex experience that will bring us closer together than ever before. We’ve spent two years rewriting our apps from the ground up to boost our development speed, which should enable us to bring new features to you more efficiently, across more platforms, with much higher quality than ever before. However, this release also means ending support for some features that we’ve grown to love, like Watch Together. Though support for Watch Together will not be available in the new Plex experience for most devices, you can still continue to use the feature in our web app for the foreseeable future. And because we’ve seen your love and tremendous response to this feature, we don’t preclude the possibility of offering similar functionality again in the future, using new tooling. We know that this decision will impact many of you, and we appreciate your support and understanding. Sincerely, Your Friends at Plex

I’ve never heard of The Mole, probably need to find it.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13243898/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk
Also, Is Law Man Bass Reeves part of the Yellowstone series? I dare not to touch that Taylor Sheridan-verse, too many spinoffs, not sure if it’s worth the time investment.
I dont know if it is part of the yellowstone series. According to this website it is not, https://www.menshealth.com/entertainment/a45805998/lawmen-bass-reeves-yellowstone-1883/

Movies this week and a bit.
The Holdovers, beautiful Christmas movie with just the right amount of Christmas theme. Not too much.
The Mole, from Mats Brügger. Impressive real life undercover story to uncover the criminal deals of the north Korean regime.
Dumb money, absurd to see the story in a movie. I remember the events while it happens the gme 💎 ✋ craze. Nonetheless fun movie.
Tv:
I finally started watching peaky blinders.
Law man bass reeves. They spend a good amount on this show it’s looks nice. The acting of the main char is good. Sometimes others miss the beat. Unnecessary soundtracks where silence would serve the scenes better.
Bookie, easy to watch, light, funny. good actors.

Yes 95% of the time, original English audio track with subtitles and then local language. Except for the french versions, if I remember correctly those only had french dub as audiotrack. Could be wrong though we never bought/had those. When my parents were still in charge of tv time they put on the original version even if the original audio was something other than English and turned on local language subtitles. To practice other languages.

You can add the filter list mentioned in the first comment in this thread in your Ublock origin add on on your mobile version of firefox
He makes some other cool stuff as well https://neal.fun/

Weird got a message saying I needed root I’m switched to libretube for now, it’s good

Does this require your phone to be rooted?

True, I had a separate client for private tracker torrents it worked well no angry e-mails. However some torrents like non english movies/shows are not on the private tracker I have, and are very short-lived on public trackers, if you have any recommendations where I can apply let me know.

Thank you all for giving honest advice, I will stick with what I have, Gluetun and Windscribe.

I hear you. For what it’s worth it is mentioned in the end of the blog post, the project is open source, people can run their own overseer API and create less strict or more strict whitelists, instances can also be registered to multiple chains. Don’t mistake my enthousiasm for self run open social media platforms for trying to promote a single tool as the the be-all and end-all solution. Under the swiss cheese security model/idea, this could be another tool in the toolbox to curb the annoyance to a point where spam or bots become less effective. Edit: *The be-all and end-all *not be and end all solution

The admin https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/u/db0 from the lemmy.dbzer0.com instance possibly made a solution that uses a chain of trust system between instances to whitelist each other and build larger whitelists to contain the spam/bot problem. Instead of constantly blacklisting. For admins and mods maybe take a look at their blog post explaining it in more detail. https://dbzer0.com/blog/overseer-a-fediverse-chain-of-trust/
https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/u/db0 from lemmy.dbzer0.com just made a blog about a new tool he created to use a chain of trust between instances to whitelist instances in an effort to prevent spam maybe contact them about it? https://dbzer0.com/blog/overseer-a-fediverse-chain-of-trust/
