Except that arithmetic still qualifies as maths even if it is only barely, whereas a golf cart doesn’t qualify as a sports car. It’s more like saying “vehicle” when you mean "kid’s bicycle "; it’s still technically true even though it isn’t the most sophisticated.

For the general public that’s a distinction without a difference
Service vs leadership is a false dichotomy. You can (and should) be a leader who serves. Mamdani is serving NYers in a leadership position. He makes the calls and has the responsibility for decisions that serve his constituents.

Why would you not contact police? I understand that this is a systemic failure and blame does not lie with that employee but if others me I’d rather be out of a job than have those deaths on my conscience for the rest of my life.
Even then, there are 18 year olds I’ve met that have the maturity of a 25 year old and 25 year olds that just don’t seem to have a frontal lobe. Age is an important heuristic but certainly not the only important factor when you are thinking about emotional maturity and power dynamics in a relationship.

Depends on the situation. Meeting up with friends? I wouldn’t blink at them being 10 minutes late. Opening shift at a cafe? 10 minutes would put me so far behind I’d be in big trouble.
