61·3 years agoAren’t all languages localizations in a game? Unless the characters’ movements and voice would be motion captured and recorded together…
Interesting, since golang only includes the parts of the stdlib that are used in the executable binary.

Technology@lemmy.world•The Age of Social Media Is Changing and Entering a Less Toxic EraEnglish
5·3 years agoWell shortened, but most of the meaning got lost.
TL;DR:
The big platforms are losing pull and users, more small platforms or group chats emerge.
That makes it harder for people or public entities to reach a big audience.
Then I stopped reading.

72·3 years agoI like the “fairphonesucks=true” Parameter though. That’s a nice touch
Is this also possible for Lemmy? Would be nice to get Lemmy community posts3in RSS feeds
Id like it to be a good speech to text that is context aware and recognizes when I reference my code etc.
There are a few companies making money from FOSS.
The two business models I see the most that seem to work:
- free software, paid support
- free software, paid hosting/ “SaaS”

6·3 years agoMaybe in English it is not used as often. In Germany it is used as just Bundesrepublik in News etc to don’t repeat oneself too much or in historic context to differentiate from the German Democratic Republic (where the naming is again ironic, but it’s the Democratic party)

Does that mean you’re still supported by who supported you when you were released? So in other words, your Mom.
Does that count as rubber duck debugging?

Fediverse@lemmy.ml•Should federated social media have a centralized website that users use to access it?
1·3 years agoThen it should be quite easy. Did you post the request to GitHub?

1·3 years agoIs the instance hosting the community contained in the URL? Then it should be easy to implement, otherwise it’s probably much more complicated.

3·3 years agoI think Lemmy’s solution is better, but still not perfect. I can subscribe to communities of other instances from my own instance, but only if either a) I know the exact name and search for it, or b) someone else did before me.
