Another +1 for Against the Storm. Timberborn also released recently and I lost a good bit of time to it. Timberborn has the sandbox build with multiple layers, and problem solving since you have to control water flow during three seasons (Wet, drought, tainted water) and manage resources.

It does have baking powder and baking soda in it. The cake does in not taste sour, there is a subtle tang to it but that is mostly masked by the strawberrry purée. I made this with sourdough discard about 24 hours after feeding, I usually feed mine once a day unless its in the refrigerator.

For some reason I feel like this should be adjusted for inflation. Now this isn’t any better but $162,000 adjusted for inflation would have been roughly $296,288 and some change in 2023. That’s still well over a 470% increase, if my bad math is not bad today. I was lucky enough to buy one as a Millennial back in 2019 before houses started to skyrocket but this is just absolutely asinine.

3000% honesty, you are right. It is a waste, using a good manual can opener is far more satisfying. Like the electricity needed for the electric one is miniscule at best but its still wasted since it rakes 10 seconds to open one with a manual. I get people who are differently abled and need these, but the average person gets no real value from an electric one.

Glad you got it working! I turn that setting on for all my games and I honestly didn’t even think about asking if you had it on.

If you have issues with your controllers with the flatpak I would try switching to the native package. There should be a .deb package for steam. If it doesn’t change the behavior, then I would assume something else is causing a problem.

You can also install flatseal and try messing with the dbus setting, should be like half way down the menu for the steam flatpak. Since flatpaks are usually not given access to the entire system I could see it not having the correct permissions.

Can I ask how you have steam installed? IIRC Mint does not use snapd so is it via flatlak or apt? If it’s Flatpak it could be that the flatpak doesn’t have the appropriate access to dbus which can be changed with something like Warehouse or Flatseal.

I typically perfer a native .deb (or .rpm in my case) for something like steam.

I have pretty similar hardware, but I do not have an NVIDIA card. Can confirm that Bluetooth is pretty dog shit most of the time, but I generally use wired accessories (preference). I did have some pretty good luck with an ASUS bluetooth adapter which worked better than the onboard one. Controllers work great with steam both wireless (save BT issues) and wired. I also run Fedora on all my machines so I couldn’t speak to anything Mint specific but I have been running Linux for a very long time and have found that some distros have better support for newer hardware than others.

Mint is fantastic and that community does great work, all systems I manage that I do not own (family) run Mint. It is what i would recommend for any new linux user. However, for your use-case it might not be a terrible idea to give something else a try (if you haven’t already).

There will always be troubleshooting that needs to be done regardless of the OS, as others have said, hardware manufacturers do not take (desktop) Linux seriously unfortunately.

Depends on the context.

• My meeting? Right on time.
• Team meeting? On time.
• A meeting I knew about, was on my calendar, and requires my expertise? Right on time, but a lower priority.
• Something is broken and we’re grouping up? Right on time.
• A meeting on my calendar that I don’t really need to be in? 2-3 minutes after, I’ll finish what I’m currently engaged in or get to a stopping point.
• A meeting I’ve been invited to with no additional context? 2-5 minutes late.
• A meeting I was invited to with no communication/context that is before/after my normal working hours? If I remember and I’m bored.
• A meeting I was inviting a to outside of my working hours and will start before I come online? Forget about it.

I work for a global corpo, so the last two happen quite a bit. Time is money friend.
