Shirts That Go Hard@lemmy.world•why are so many of these about fishing
41·2 days agoYou just proved my point - you are experienced. To the experienced, nuance doesnt matter all that much to the point where doing it, is as you essentially said: ‘simple’.

42·2 days agobecause it literally requires nothing but putting a worm on a hook and throwing it in the water
I’m pretty sure there is more nuance than what is perceived.

9·2 days agoThats also why OS vendors shouldnt be able to restrict app stores to their own proprietary one. “Side loading” is essentially a corporatized definition on what should be a right… Smh.
Yep with the state of the earth, crickets are becoming a rarity 😥.

politics @lemmy.world•Gen Z regrets Trump support and is midterm motivated
1·2 days agoExactly, its unnecessary and follows through on the inherent ageism. But it is to show that 31% young people (above voting age) regret their choices over choosing Trump - this is the most influential minority in this case, unlike commonly believed.
Gen alpha is quite possibly also anti-trump, so when they become of voting age they’ll have a much greater disapproval rating.

21·6 days agoYou explicitly mentioned this, alright. But you still use it, because… Its “pretty darn useful”. Now I’m trying to understand, but your statement is a bit convoluted as the conclusion essentially puts the app in a good light. Implicitly youre telling a different story.

This is the kind of behaviour which will further boost telegrams presence as a valid source of information - which is not.
In reality it has wild history to the point where people got jailed by telegrams aid with the authorities. New people will essentially be manipulated that this is a trustworthy application.

Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•Peacock has ads when pausing a movie to read the textEnglish
2·6 days agoThat is true… But the issue is more widespread than just applying to 20 something year olds. Teenagers also have these exact problems - fighting the industry takes everyone of all ages not just a select few.
The ageist tree.
I can definitely agree with that. Majority of brain development past 13 is mostly just neutron connections - which rely on learning and experiences. This does relate to what you have said, stubbornness will impede the frontal lobe to make new connections.
Sure its more “accurate” than the common belief that development ends at 24. But still not quite right, as there isn’t proof that there is a concrete age where development ends.

I’ll be questioning if you didn’t grow an ass at all.
