I get what you’re aiming at. My perspective is that the regular user typically is forced into a state of learned helplessness.
You learn Windows and don’t look further because you learned Windows = normal computer, MacOS = fancy expensive computer. If you cannot see the problems it is very hard to sell the solution
Regarding UX - that stuff is hard to get good. When you’re that good it’s often more lucrative to get paid for that skill set compared to passionately designing FOSS.
But what does complete control help with putting food on the table? At least the professional content creators can do it professionally because they make money from YouTube and Twitch
My guess: these men never learned how to maintain and care for a relationship or cannot stand up for themselves. At the beginning of a relationship everything is exciting and without maintenance (from both sides) it quickly goes downhill. I can imagine for some of those men this downhill part is their equivalent view of marriage / long term relationship. Which checks out if your experience is dominated by passive or active neglect from/of their partner ,

It takes one to know one ;) now you’ll get to find out which flavor of theater kid you’ll get - cosplay, writing, improv or a mixed bag

Well, there are worse special interests. This way you’ll just get a theater kid - which has its own perks at times

I highly recommend Jump Space if you can recruit your buddies! It’s pretty similar in terms of gameplay feel to Deep Rock Galactic - team play is pretty rewarding, goofing off won’t penalize you too hard. Worth every penny so far

Date Everything has the appeal of many known voice actors being involved in this silly story. It’s great fun to puzzle out all the voice lines - especially if youre fan of some of the actors.
When in doubt watch Avatar ( The Last Airbender )

First of all: rude! I dont want to think about climbing on 40.
Jest aside here are some things I always put off writing down from the back of my mind:
If you have the support structure, get children at the earliest point you feel somewhat comfortable - do you’ll be around each other for longer.
No table stands only on two legs - you should always cultivate three sets of skills that are potentially money earning.
Tend to your outlets - everyone should do something as an emotional, creative, physical and structural outlet. You also must avoid combining more than two. Always create something, never stop moving and always consider your self and others well-being.
Maintain your attention span - avoid inattentive use of fast paced media
Budgeting, learn it, do it, don’t overcomplicate it. There is no way to become rich fast and stay a decent person.
Strive to learn at least one other language - every language is like you unlock a new facette of your soul.

The neat thing about distractions - you can simply ignore them and keep on asking about the files. As long as there are journalists that keep on doing that the orange man will continue to spiral out of control

The tragedy is that most of the time, the vast majority of people who vote for that shit doesn’t suffer the consequences immediately or at all.

In the U.S. of A - in Germany do not camp in the wild if you’re fond of your money. Although we have a milder variant of the Allemannsretten, ours excludes camping in the wild
Also moderate movement (jumping Jacks, side steps, mini sprints) and stretching can speed up the freshening up while decreasing the risk of cramping

Generally agreeing, but as a Corgi owner just a small correction: They are short in height but have a long body. It’s not a problem if the breed is small, the proportions have to be right.
Corgis, although at the border to a problematic ratio, the breed lines I’m accustomed with are still fine(Europe). Corgis tend to have back problems when not properly prevented their whole life - avoiding downward stairs, restricting jumping or anything in the direction of dog sports made for Aussies, etc. But due to their stockier build they are pretty robust against the typical problems you see in Dachshunds for example. It also helps that they’re not hopelessly mis-bred yet

It’s been a few years since my math lectures at university and I don’t remember these two being explained so simple and straightforward (probably because I wasn’t used to the syntax in math at the time) so thanks for that! This’ll definitely stick in my brain for now
It depends how obsessed you are with it. For my wife and me it’s similar: both paychecks go into the same account, but we split off our pocket money into our own accounts accordingly - although I take a bigger sum in this proportion, if I don’t spend it it’ll just be transfered to an account that is play money for vacation, hobbies etc. And that happens idk every quarter or so
In my perspective IQ only has so many consequences, due to the limitations of the method. Nowadays we know to separate different forms of intelligence and also that transferring skills between those forms can have an impact on overall ‘performance’ . That being said, it can be a good indicator for stuff but as you point out, it’s often misused as divider instead of an accelerator.

Actually, marriage is one of the founding circumstances why we actually have laws. Although it is reasonable to assume that every marriage ritual in early societies had some kind of ‘blessed be this couple’ aspect, it originated out of civil necessity (structuring inheritance) before the Jesus Club took over and changed the meaning
