So all of you who don’t want pics posted are bitching that the media isn’t covering what you’re doing? You’re batshit.

If none of you know how to upload a video, you’re already beyond fucked.
The reality is that this isn’t about whether or not it’s being covered. It’s about the fact that what little you are doing is apathetic as fuck.
Oh, ffs, like there aren’t a thousand work arounds on that. Grow up.
Imagine if there were mediums . . . Like something social in nature. . . Hmmm, what to call it? Oh, I know! Social media! Now, imagine if citizens could, you know, post stuff on said social media, like en masse. Because lots of ‘enormous’protests that are ‘consistently happening’ would get attention, right? I mean, network media doesn’t gatekeep what the populace posts, right?

News@lemmy.world•Minneapolis General Strike Movement Spreads to 215 Cities on FridayEnglish
2·6 days agoA general strike is what would be needed, because you can participate and stay home, for those who can’t or won’t pour into the streets. It also brings the economy to a halt, and that’s where the rubber meets the road with impeachments. Which isn’t to say any of the powers that be give a shit about economic impact to the masses. But they do care about the bottom line of their corporate overlords

4·9 days agoAmerica didn’t win the wars, you putz, lol. If anything, you cowards ( and you’ve always been cowards) caused them to go on longer than they otherwise would have. And we don’t fight for the King. We fight in his name, and have never answered to him. He answers to us. You dipshits wouldn’t know about that, though because you’re too busy bending the knee to a madman, pretending that you ever have or would ever scrounge up the guts to fight tyranny And here’s a history lesson for you and your likewise illiterate brethren. 1776 wasn’t about freedom or democracy. If it were, there would have been built in protections that could be properly utilized in a crises. Both Britain and the Commonwealth realms had and have far superior systems. You muppets are falling apart from the inside out, and have no one to blame but yourselves. You fucked up from the Reagan era on, so couldn’t even manage a half century as a superpower before you were already in decline. Pathetic little muppets.

4·10 days agoCanada showed up to both world wars on day one, Muppet.
While you cowards snivelled on the sidelines, profiteering on it, before jumping in on the last ten minutes. Canada isn’t fucking stupid enough to vote in an absolute lunatic. We aren’t dumb enough to have created an electoral college system, and be tied in to a system that doesn’t allow for government removal between election cycles. We know better than to let the head of state and the head of government be the same orange dipshit. We know that the head of state needs to be apolitical.

21·11 days agoThere are a lot of people who are just now realizing, with the threats to Greenland, that the rest of the world won’t be coming to save them.
No shit, multiple people really do believe that NATO is supposed to be policing US internal politics, and liberating them from the orange turd.
It’s only now starting to dawn on them that the rest of the world will defend each other from the US, but they won’t save the US from itself.

12·11 days agoRead the article, people.
He’s actually taking a much softer stance on Canada, and that’s worth paying attention to.
Oh, I’m not saying he has benevolent intentions toward Canada, lol.
But he’s not looking to get us particularly riled either.
One, he wants to keep tensions with Europe away from his border.
Two, he is deathly afraid that real Americans that haven’t drunk his kool-aid will have a place to flee, regroup and fight.

Then stock up again for donations to food banks and soup kitchens.
If a general strike did happen, it would take less time than eviction proceedings for any given household.
And they can’t fire and evict everyone. The point of a general strike is to demonstrate exactly that.
