Promoting open source software and funding them is better than banning proprietary software. Improving data protection laws will also be more productive as a blanket solution rather than selectively banning companies with suspicious data practices.

The reddit feed is its biggest strength. It’s addictive for the general public. Lemmy feed is not that addictive or maybe there are more people like me who don’t know how to properly customize it.

You can just set it to desktop mode. It happens when scrolling on mobile. Or, just stop using reddit altogether

longer movies are fine for me. It probably got longer because they tried to add other characters to at least link it to the MCU or that they had to have sufficient backstory so new viewers could still follow.

It was on my very first start. I tried closing then opening the app but it didn’t fix the issue. I know opening Google Maps will fix this because this also happens on Pokemon Go when the GPS location is inaccurate. Opening Google Maps seems to trigger a better algorithm for GPS. Not sure if this is device specific though or due to power saving mode.

I guess Google play hasn’t served me the latest version yet. I will wait for it and try again. I am on version 1.2.11

I think a lot less people care about consoles now. People are moving over to mobile, not necessarily solely Android or iOS, but stuff like Switch or Steamdeck.

I have tried it. So far, I had to open the Google Maps app while the app is open so it will exit “Waiting for GPS.” Maybe for it to trigger the location service. Also, I think the map will be friendlier if it can be rotated based on the compass or manual rotation by pinch. The current setup would be fine only if you are already familiar with the roads in the area. But, for a free app, I like that there is an alternative i can use for Pokemon Go or Ingress.

Can’t really do anything about that unless you want a smaller view with black bars on certain cinema
