Yes basically. Here in the UK. Yoi cam access f1TV for some live data, but not watch the actual race. Even after it’s finished. So we have to VPN to another country in order to both buy F1TV Pro access and utilise that access. That has now been block.

Piracy: ꜱᴀɪʟ ᴛʜᴇ ʜɪɢʜ ꜱᴇᴀꜱ@lemmy.dbzer0.com•F1TV have started blocking VPN access from today. Does anyone have any good links for pirated streams of the F1 please?English
4·3 years agoI seen mention of this apparently being illegal in EU countries. So maybe you’ll be able to get access?
But for us suckers in the UK, Its time to set sail I guess.

1·3 years agoThat could be because the mods have made a rule that auto mod will remove all new posts until a nod has had a chance to physically review it before allowing it to be visible on the sub since they have lost some of their most active mods and moderation tools. It’s another way for the mods to continue the protest and I for one hope they continue to irritate reddit admins as much as they can.
I would say they should just completely abandon ship. But then reddit will just give the sub to some power mod who still like to be dominated by the reddit admins and the sub will get back to full flow.

3·3 years agoIf you are already an android user. It’s definitely worth putting I some time to check out ReVanced on github.
They are the spiritual successor to Vanced and you use the ReVanced manager to patch your own youtube APK (and many more apks.)

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•People from the "hotter" regions, how do you deal with the heat?
8·3 years agoThe price of electricity in my country (the UK) has gone stupid high right now. We don’t have AC in our homes normally in the country. But I bought a 2nd hand portable unit about 7 years ago when my first son was born cos I was afraid of him gettin too hot at night. I have a 2nd son now and we have had some record high temps last month and o could only afford yo keep this AC unit on for a like 2 to 3 hours at night time in just his room and only on the hottest days. Anymore than that and we woild struggle to pay the energy bill that follows.
It’s not maintenance cost that’s the issue. It’s energy cost.
If you haven’t tried it. Based on what you listed. I think you will also like Father Ted.
