Marvel Studios@lemmy.world•How to bring back MCU Sacred Timeline Old Steve Rogers back as Captain America even if temporarily, like in an Avengers ensemble film? Via broken Mjolnir?
9·1 year agoAnt Man got aged and de-aged when Rocket was calibrating the time machine before the time heist, so I figure they can just stick Old Steve in there for a minute to make him young again.

Technology@lemmy.world•Need help bypassing login screen without compromising machine securityEnglish
1·1 year agoVery true. I have a couple items at work that don’t work when I pick “at startup” so I usually just go with the event log startup as the trigger nowadays.

5·1 year agoCan you set the Jellyfin server service to start with Windows? Shouldn’t need a login then. If not, you can use a PowerShell script that starts the Jellyfin .exe and use a scheduled task to run it when event id 6005 is triggered. That’s the event id created when the event log starts.

Games@sh.itjust.works•Concord Developer Firewalk Studios Shut Down By Sony.English
17·1 year agoI wonder how much debt Sony offloaded onto them before shutting them down.
As an actual game it was pretty terrible. Unique skills only being learnable by a single person, multiple nested menus to perform basic functions like equipping something, lots of questionable things like overtuned traps and trap rooms in low level areas.

Relationship Advice@lemmy.world•Am I completely off base to expect my partner to be transparent about her inheritance?English
2·2 years agoCould you maybe suggest meeting jointly or separately with a financial planner? Express a desire to make sure household expenses are covered and possibly invest in your kids future, but be clear that you don’t see her inheritance, however much it is, as a chance for you to buy a sports car or something.
My parents had a joint account for household expenses and would discuss how to split major purchases like new cars, but they both had separate accounts and investments.

6·2 years agoI can see it with eggs, if you don’t wash eggs they’re shelf stable for a couple weeks because of a natural coating. I was super confused when I went to the UK and all the eggs were on a shelf at the supermarket instead of in a cooler.

Ask Android@lemdro.id•How can I transfer 11000 photos from one phone to anotherEnglish
10·2 years agoI’ve done a few multi-thousand photo transfers for people at work and I’ve found the “thumbnails” folder really screws up the process. Try connecting your old phone to PC, opening the DCIM folder, and transferring just the “Camera” folder to PC, then plug in the new phone and transfer it back.
Ear plugs and an air horn would probably do the trick.
