What the hell is this comment? Do you literally need an individual video from every single veteran to believe that there are more of them out there fighting this shit? I’m legitimately confused.

Yes, because all Americans are the same entity and statements like this are helpful and insightful… /s
Disagree. Being nice and having empathy is actually really fucking easy, at least to the people you directly interact with. It’s only hard when we’re burnt out, which capitalism is really good at making everyone.

You sound like a great parent, and this should ideally be how every parent teaches their kids. Trust, open discussion, and a welcoming environment for questions.
While it does suck that courts take a long time, I feel like you’re overemphasizing the “deterrent” effect of criminal punishment. While fear of repercussions is a non-zero factor in whether a person commits a crime, it isn’t the ONLY factor, and I’d argue that for most people, it isn’t even the biggest one.
Punishing people more quickly might help some surface level things, but really we should be looking at why people are motivated to commit crimes (at all levels).

The thing is, it’s really impossible to come to a logical conclusion of what the word “significant” represents in your reply. What does a “significant percentage” mean to you?
I’m not saying that there aren’t some Americans out there with really shitty views, but how do you actually decide what percentage of the population they are? What’s the end result of your statement here? What’s the point of you making this comment here?
Idk, I’m just exhausted by these types of statements in general. These “don’t forget that a lot of people are terrible!” suggestions from the sidelines. These “why are you upset, it’s not surprising!” statements… as if there’s any insight here.
I’m fucking frustrated too. I just think that the first step to becoming evil or indifferent to evil is believing that that’s just how most people are.
I feel that too. I don’t think that there’s something wrong with you. There’s something wrong with society. Nobody does things best the same way, and society has a heavy preference for a specific way of doing things.

Absolutely agree. When I got out of college, I was like “I have some money finally, I’ll support the shows and movies I want to watch by actually buying them online outright and streaming everything else legally!”
And then several of the things I “bought” got removed from my library several years later.
Then instead of 2 or 3 streaming platforms, there were suddenly 6.
Then every streaming service kept shuffling around my favorite shows.
And suddenly, the experience of paying for the content I wanted to watch became way too cumbersome.

So skip those reviews and scroll down to the ones that resonate with you.
Any bigger game with meme/stream potential is gonna get a few idiots writing nonsense reviews for the lols , but in guarantee that there are still plenty of very relevant reviews that are useful for deciding if you’ll vibe with a game

Also I think they literally tell you (just not in English) why they’re shooting at it at the beginning of the movie.
Definitely an interesting take, and one that I might kinda believe!
I do think that concentrated power is still part of the problem, that problem is just exacerbated by the psycho-selection-filter of capitalism.
People are down voting but it’s true for me too on Jerboa.
It’s even worse in VR games. As much as I love Half Life Alyx, there were certain barriers that are literally just a pile of rubble or a chain link fence.

Aren’t phones literally designed to run and be on all the time nowadays? Huh?
Like, yeah, you’re using old hardware to run stuff and you presumably stopped using that phone for some reason, so it makes sense not to run vital services off your old phone, but for simple stuff like this it seems neat.

I can think that Steam at least provides a ton of services and value for that 30% , while also being annoyed that governments don’t tax people more.
There were a ton of “would you still love me if I were a worm” videos and memes coming out at least a few years ago. It seems like it was more of an TikTok thing but it spread a bit.
Why is the worm meme making a comeback on Lemmy? Not complaining, just curious since it’s a couple years old now.

As a game dev myself, I’ve had to learn to just quietly accept repeat feedback. I’m often already aware of most problems and bugs during some playtests, and I used to say “I know I gotta fix that” to some lower priority bugs, but it’s better to encourage any and all feedback for sure.
So are you going to be the general, inspiring and gathering people, and picking targets? Or is this just yet another call for generic violence against any targets so you can feel that others are “doing something.”
I’m not a killer. I’m not interested in killing random conservatives. I’m interested in things that reduce pain and suffering in the world. Murdering people who don’t agree with me is not the way I want to live my life.
While I think it’s a nice thought, I still find the idea that humans are the ONLY “storytellers” to be falling into the same trap as tool use. Just because we haven’t witnessed or recorded it doesn’t mean that other species don’t tell “stories”.
Heck, even crows learn faces and then tell other crows about those faces. If that’s not some form of “storytelling” idk what is.
