Big ole paywall

That seems like it would kill millions of people who have virtually zero control over the actions of the country.
Boss don’t do shit why I gotta do shit??

It’s a Facebook product why would privacy be assumed?

Put the grocery cart back

I got a new phone in 2020.
I haven’t seen a compelling or interesting device since then. Even then, I was barely convinced I actually wanted the upgrade in 2020, but I spent a lot of 2020 in a poor mental state and made some less than sound decisions.
I kinda want a folding phone? But not really. Like if you handed me one I’d be happy, but if you asked me to pay even $300 for one I don’t think I would.

Yup. Mountains of slop is gonna replace schlock. What was before schlock will soon be slop. Well, it won’t be the end of schlock entirely. I’m sure we’re still gonna get some schlock that’s also slop. Slop schlock.

I haven’t actually played it (wont play any game that used or uses LLM software), so I can only tell you what I’ve read.
Shame, it looked interesting

I think the Where Winds Meet tried this, right? The NPCs ended up saying anachronistic things and making travel itineraries for Beijing or something.

I’ll walk you through my method step by step.
And you’re done!

Ditch this shit yesterday.
The company that owns it now blows chunks. I’m using Lawnchair now and it was a bit of a transition but after a few days I got it set up just how I wanted.

There’s so much more (taxable) revenue from the World Cup than just the ticket sales. Travel, merchandise, TV rights, sales later on from notariety, etc. Tbf I don’t have an exhaustive understanding of soccer profits so that’s not an exhaustive list, but I know a TON of money that trades hands around these events.
Those 15 years fly by faster than you think and suddenly someone’s calling you unc for listening to dance music from your twenties
Honey, at your age I thought 35 was old. At 35 now, it’s really just a matter of perspective. You’re dad isn’t old, he just ain’t young. I still go out to raves and party, just not as often as I did in my twenties and I like to have a Disco nap before heading out to the rave that opens at midnight til the morning.
How is a 36 year old supposed to act? Well, we define that by being in our mid thirties and acting how we want. You’re doing the same at 18, defining how 18 year olds act.
Don’t sweat how you’re “supposed to be”, just take care of yourself and do what ya need to do to be healthy and happy.

Ooooooooooh h8 breaking from law based rule but oooooooooh we do love money money so good

The tonal shifts are really rough. Jarring is right. I feel like I need to watch the first episode again because they’d jump from one baffling thing to another. Why is Starfleet ripping a child away from a mother? Why is there no councilor? Why is the captain/headmaster now trying to play mom to this kid??? Oh wait emotional scene over now it’s your first day at school young man! What wacky characters will you meet? There’s for some reason a hologram child?? Sure she’s an autistic person analog but why not make her that and instead a hologram? To what end? Don’t think too hard, we’re back to violence!! Violence with some flat dull jokes! Slapstick!
Argh. Exhausting.

Paul Giamatti seemed to be in a different show than the rest of the cast. It was like Giamatti was playing a cartoon Joker. It really clanged with me, his jokes and humor didn’t work at all and I hope we don’t see him again.

No, it seems like it will follow a gaggle of students, but the premier starts with setting up the dark backstory of one of them in an over the top way and it takes forever. Eventually they get to Starfleet Academy.
::: Spoilers for the first 15 minutes: I found the setup for this baffling. The 3 minute military tribunal that determined that Caleb Mir should be ripped away from his mother felt very unlike anything I’ve come to expect from the Federation. Then it’s tonal whiplash with the person who took a child away from their mother trying to play surrogate mom and get the kid to go to school? :::
No worries if you found it confusing. Every few seconds there’s a baffling decision displayed, so it kinda short circuits the brain and makes it hard to pay attention.

I think people who like Disco will like Starfleet Academy.
The premier had some neat parts, but I think the structure, pacing and writing of the show have moved away from something I easily recognize as Star Trek and at the end, I was left more confused than interested in more.
They don’t want to even dismantle ICE all they wanna do is change who’s in charge.
I fucking wish we had an opposition party in America
