They actually don’t take them down even if reported. I’ve been flagging stuff like this for 6 months. They refused. I appealed the refusal, a human supposedly reviewed it and it still was refused. The algo thinks I like that shit, so it shows me more and I report more of it. Nothing ever comes from it.

I’m talking about obvious CSAM or allusions to it. Accounts run by cybercriminals using images of minors to lure marks. Fucking shit that anyone with a working morality would remove.

I was going to say, what isn’t CSAM or scams, is violent and hateful propaganda or fake news.

I genuinely wish I could get a court order to ban my parents from using Facebook. I told my mom I wouldn’t help her next time she get’s scammed buying a fake item off a Facebook ad. I think she’s at like 4 times now.

Like they aren’t stupid, they are old. This stuff is dangerous for them.

Wouldn’t even bother reporting those ads… We know nothing would come from it. The scammers pay Facebook their cut, they are happy.

I’ve been flagging these on Facebook, which I have a blank account only for marketplace. Facebook NEVER does anything about it and I’ve been increasingly concerned. My reports get closed as “content does not break terms of use”.

The things I see through Facebook ads are not necessarily ai generated. They are just disgusting images, or allusions. Like an anime image of an old man surrounded by young boys with captions about a romance dating sim.

Yes, it is full of ads alluding to or including CSAM.

It’s been like this for a while. The suggested shorts frequently imply sexual content with minors and Facebook friend suggestions on blank accounts frequently include 14-16 year old girls.

Don’t believe me, create a fresh Facebook account and just browse the feed. It’s vile. The second you click it to report it, the algo will show you so much more.

Edit: There’s also a large number of fake user accounts promoting onlyfans or phishing scams including photos of under 18 girls in swimsuits with captions like “would you date someone young like me?”. Facebook also closed those reported tickets as not violating community guidelines.

I flagged one of these in January, I just found it and the user is celebrating her “birthday” holding balloons 1 and 3. Still active.

I’ve appealed some of these reports they closed and they claimed a human reviewed it and it still didnt violate guidelines.

They at best don’t give a fuck, at worst actively want this space to flourish within their platform. I think Facebook is behaving in a criminal way, either through negligence or complicit.

Don’t assume all this content is ai. It’s just as likely trafficking networks are producing these images or stealing them from minors’ accounts. These images could have been produced ages ago as well.

These cybercriminals absolutely have CSAM they will show as a means of achieving phishing or pig butchering scams. Facebook allows its space to be a launching point for this.

Cynically though… they’ve been peddling nothing for two decades now. Big data, the cloud, SAAS, web 3.0, metaverse, nfts, llms, there’s always a new nothing born.

Most of the ‘‘smart money’’ is just in it for the short term. Get all the value possible out of their position and be the first out. The bagholders will be the same wallets with legs, us, who hold all that shit in our pension funds, IRAs and whatever.

We are very much in a post sustainability mindset when it comes to the investment market. Enshitification is just scrapping the bottom of the barrel to keep the numbers good for another quarter.

I played it when standalone came out. I enjoyed the feeling it gave you of walking out alone in the woods, orienting yourself on landmarks and stuff. Mostly avoided players and did my thing though lol
