Ah ok, so its not RCS support but rather working around the OS not suporting RCS. Did some reading yesterday and now understand that RCS needs some low level system support to work.

It does work with both iPhone and Android users from my testing. I ended up putting it on when I got tired of getting “person reacted <emoji> to <full quote of what I wrote>”.
Odd it isn’t explicitly called out.

Is there a reason we can’t just all use Quik across the de-googled OSes? Vendor specific solutions only further the closed ecosystem problem.

Quik, an open source SMS app on FDroid, handles this already without needing a specific OSes RCS.
Unless there is something fundamental thats wrong with Quik and its development, I dont see why one would be excited about another vendor specific solution. Quik works on any degoogled android, not just Graphene.
That would be the OG Nutty Professor that the Eddie Murphy one was based on.

QR codes usually have links with tracking in them, they can also be swapped out by potential hackers to send you to a proxy that will install malware while you order.
Overall, the guise of the “modern dining experiences” is one of less service for the same price, more tracking and value extraction for advertising and marketing, and more invasion of privacy to the consumer. I refuse to support these experiences by either refusing to use the tech or taking my dollar elsewhere.

I lost a few IQ points reading this ad.
But they love charging for the kidney stone removal.

If you’re rocking Trump gear on your car, then this is quite possibly the nicest way to tell you what you need to hear.

I’ve had to move a lot over the years. Lived in large and small cities in 4 provinces.
I can say with great certainty that this rental scenario (depicted in OP) is very common in any conservative managed or low income areas. Tends to not be common in nicer neighbourhoods.

Dear lord no.
For extra fun, there’s also dist-upgrade

Agreed, just updated my comment for clarification here. But I’ll add that I still own any game I’ve bought on Steam that was pulled from the store. They tend to be on the better side here.
That said, DRM free for the win.

My use of the PlayStation platform had dropped significantly and moved to PC, and now Steam Deck as well.
And now I’ll just cease entirely.
They really love shooting themselves in the foot here.
And I suppose they will start trying to sue Steam when they fall.
EDIT: To be clear, the Deck can run GOG games with Lutris, and with PC I use a mix of launchers, not just Steam. My intent was to point out that many publishers seem to like going after Steam after they shoot themselves in the foot and lose users.

I have one built, just waiting for winter.

Vintage Story has cheese aging in cellar mechanics.
So they actually spell it “donut” and not “doughnut”?
You’ll fall behind in the race to the lowest IQ as they all turn their thinking over to AI and get lazier while you continue to exercise your brain.
Fuck 'em.
