1·3 years agoSpice it up with sriracha mayo on toasted bread. salt, pepper and a sprinkle of msg on tomato slices and add simple pickled pink onions. Slice the cabbage into very thin strips and assemble. It’s my favourite sandwich.
Pickled onions: Red onions, sliced thinly, Boil 50/50 water and vinegar, add salt to the solution and optionally a bay leaf or other aromatics to create the brine. Put sliced onions in a jar and fill the jar with the brine, put it in the fridge after cooling down and wait a night for the sharp oniony taste to disappear.

For more serious topics they might be a little inappropriate or appear out of place for some people.

521·3 years agoI implore you to rethink your usage of wide sweeping generalizations for the sake of an argument that fits your opinion. If we don’t want Lemmy to turn into a negative cesspit like reddit we gotta focus on civil discussion instead of ‘enrage to engage’.

13·3 years agoThat’s a good point. Smaller niche communities with more personal connections will inevitably sprout when the ‘main thing’ hits a high user count.

8·3 years agoPrimarily authentic opinions on things that I want some input for, like products, experiences etc. Also gaming communities for seperate games.

It’s relatable and told in a humorous way, it kinda feels like a nice relative telling you a story as a kid
