Born in late 80s in the Ottawa Valley. Liked Montreal because my brother did. Liked Roy because my brother did. Liked Avs because Roy did. When that was over, I stopped watching hockey for a few years going through life changes. When I came back, I picked Ottawa because I was born there. Got to see the good years, before the current iterations. I’ve got a cool history of being both the fan of a cup winning team, and one that hasn’t (modern era).

They both appear to have 8GB. The firestick comes with a lot of bloatware, though. If the TV Box doesn’t, that might work.

Can only speak for me, and the people I talk to, but the rates are less the issue. It certainly factors in, but the high total costs with no adjustments to wages means we’ve fallen into a gray zone where we really don’t want to rent, but are forced to. I work in a hospital, and the people over ~40 are in houses that they are deathly afraid to get out of, and those of us under ~40 are renting, hoping something changes, or an asteroid strikes. Either one would be good, now.

Ottawa fan, but trying to be unbiased… It’s unfair to compare him to guys that have proven their worth over long careers, but having watched him, a ton, he’s worth it. Hockey has become less about what you can do at the trade deadline and more about if you can strike gold in the draft. In that regard, it’s nice to lock down a guy who shows all the potential to be a superstar. Still, these long contracts always scare the crap out of me.
