Antiwork@lemmy.ml•Disney CEO Bob Iger called Hollywood strikers 'not realistic.' His critics are calling his $27 million pay package unrealistic.
218·3 years agoAlthough I know the reasons for the actors’ strike, I think it is unfair for them to demand more when their job is mainly to interpret the creations of others. I think those who have more reason to demand are the intellectual creators of the films, such as musicians, costume designers, concept artists, etc.
It feels weird that governments have to force companies to give us back what we used to have.

6·3 years agoNoob question: Let’s say you’re an Uber driver. If you keep the app open while waiting for rides would you still receive the $17.96 even if you don’t get any rides? And… In case you receive a ride for $50 how does Uber splits the money? Thanks for clarifying

Fediverse@lemmy.world•Why are people so interested in mass adoption of things like fediverse?English
52·3 years agoI think the biggest deal about Fediverse is it gives users control instead of companies. Most of social networks are controlled by big tech companies, the fact Fediverse can’t be controlled by companies but users makes me feel commited to it. Fediverse could be as good as we want.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why exactly did the android community's mods decide to basically leave world?
131·3 years agoI don’t agree with their decision but I understand their reasons. Probably the new instance is more suitable for the community, however they were growing in one of the biggest Lemmy instances. I think the best they could’ve done was to ask the community. Despite of that, I expect the android community to continue growing as it was before moving.

The real question is… Can indie games publishers afford the delay of a game?
