LightProtector@lemmy.worldOPtoApple@lemmy.ml•Why is OneDrive taking up almost 900MB in iCloud backup?
3·3 years agoYeah, just turned it off after I saw how much it’s using. It’s definitely a waste though. If you are gonna be using the internet to cache files in the first place, why do you need iCloud to backup the cached files?
LightProtector@lemmy.worldOPtoApple@lemmy.ml•Why is OneDrive taking up almost 900MB in iCloud backup?
3·3 years agoDidn’t realize because everything is automatically backed up at first. Took a look and turned it off after I saw it was making up so much storage. Why does the cloud storage need to backup so much onto the cloud storage? 😂

Android@lemmy.world•Opinion - What are your thoughts on password managers? Do you use one? Would you recommend it to others?English
1·3 years agoI use iOS, but I will say Bitwarden all the way, even if it’s implementation is not perfect on iOS. I’m sure it’s even better on Android.

Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•Outlook suddenly started opening links in Edge, disregarding my default browser settingsEnglish
11·3 years agoChromium has tab groups where you can easily add or remove tabs from a group. It makes it easy to drag it out to a different window, bring it into an existing window, and the groups are collapsible.
I usually have a lot of forums open, work tabs, and just other stuff. Right now, my solution is dealing with it/creating separate windows, but it gets messy really fast when you have 4-6 different windows. It becomes a game of which one has the tab I’m looking for.

2·3 years agoOn the Mozilla feature request page, it is the highest voted post and is currently being “investigated” by the team. But it’s been like that for a while, so I stopped holding my breath. It will come one day (hopefully) considering how much demand there is for it.

102·3 years agoSadly haven’t had the same experience. There are some websites that are broken and Canvas particularly didn’t play videos well on Firefox. Also, it has been really laggy for me lately and watching videos has been laggy. There are also no tab sorting options. I love Firefox and still use it, but it’s not all great.

1·3 years agoUsed Strong, but I actually found Hevy to be much better. It syncs really well with Apple Watch and is getting consistently updated with new features.
Literally the exact same situation. They both really dropped the ball.

Fediverse@lemmy.world•4 days before reddit's 3rd party app shutdown, Lemmy daily active users has skyrocketed 1600% this monthEnglish
0·3 years agoI still think that Lemmy needs to be more user-friendly before it starts to gain a lot of traction. Right now, the decentralization is an aspect that makes it so great, but it also creates a lot of pain points.

There are reports that they are going to be released alongside the iPhones this year.
