Ditto, chewy lack of flavor in my drink… no thanks. Those things you are talking about I think I had, they are like thin coated jolly rancher flavored orbeez.

1·9 months agoWhat ISP do you have, $50 sounds great. My gb never goes beyond 450mbps but it definitely drops to sub 10mbps sometimes. And that’s $70/month. Which I thought I was doing fairly well after coming off how bad Spectrum was for me previously. (Mine currently is through the local power/water company)

4·1 year agoThe data of the buying/selling would be tracked by software via the stock broker, which would aggregate into a tax form via other software, and then be imported into their taxes by more software.
I think a 1099B at the end of the year coming from whatever company they are using would cover it.

172·1 year agoSo if you give a human and a system 10 tasks and the human completes 3 correctly, 5 incorrectly and 3 it failed to complete altogether… And then you give those 10 tasks to the software and it does 9 correctly and 1 it fails to complete, what does that mean. In general I’d say the tasks need to be defined, as I can give very many tasks to people right now that language models can solve that they can’t, but language models to me aren’t “AGI” in my opinion.
Ah, I’m still trying to figure out what the debate is. Sorry mate, but thanks for trying to respond, I appreciate you having tried. I’m just missing something.

So the debate is whether it could or could not matter?

23·1 year agoI forget people look at Lemmy on desktop/laptops. I just assume everyone has 15 minutes to kill and picks up there phone and opens the app they prefer, that they put on the second screen, 3rd row, 3rd column from the bottom where it belongs. If you have it somewhere else… Well maybe you have 5 columns instead of 4, or are wrong. But never on the first page … that would be obsessive. It has to hide, lurking on that second page laying in wait. For its 15 mins to shine
Why? Not sure what the debate is, if you divide/multiply first?
Maybe she was 2 cents short of figuring out the answer she was looking for?

28·1 year agoWhy are there networks, health insurance companies, co-payments, payment disputes/ negotiations of prices, and people suffering from not receiving medical care?
Oh yeah, because this way it costs us significantly more and we can think we are doing better than others in life by acquiring a job where we have linked medical coverage too.
The fact that there are “classes” of healthcare is just repulsive.
What I never quite understand/know is where internet based services land. If I run a cloud based storage company / web design company or such, the servers are on my personal property and therefore should be considered allowed. Where does that start becoming non “personal.”
It’s like charging someone to park their ideas/data on my personal property. Which I imagine would be considered private property instead. Where is the nuanced line?
Anyone care to explain?
Millennial or w.e, I think Gen X is pretty alright. They got shit served to them like all do now. We just need to happiness be
I wouldn’t wish harm on the bees, maybe bees is a product name for a vibrator though. If it’s not it should be.
Banana bread at work is pretty good though.
My SSID’s are still listed as Testnet and Testnet5 after years. Had to test something at one point, it worked and never cared to go back and update things. 🤷♂️
Pretty sure they are a troll. Name being a play on “Karen”
I just checked and saw they went into a programming thread and said they speak English because it is the only language needed. Have to say as much as I don’t care for trolls, that is kinda funny

1·3 years agoThe term I was looking for was Obatzda from what I found. Stems from Bavaria and is made from cows, sheeps, and goats milk.
If someone knows a traditional recipe or which is most standard, please let me know : )

2·3 years agoInteresting that of the very few words I could have recognized in German that I remember that one. It used to show up in textbooks in the U.S. when studying WW2. Blitzkrieg being the German air bombings.
Now I am wracking my brain to see what other words I might remember in German.
Mostly keep going back to snitzel, beers and lederhosen. Aka the american stereotyping german restaurants (poorly Im sure). But fuck is the beer and snitzel good… now I want a big pretzel and beer cheese. I wonder if vegans have a decent beer cheese. *wonders off to scour the internet about which animals are most prominent in German cheese, I always want to assume cows, but the Italian use of Buffalos for Motzerella always has me guessing now.

The purpose is to have the people of smaller areas represented by an individualized Congress member. So the people in say the backwoods of California, aren’t being spoken for by all big city people from LA/San Fran etc. When something is going on in your district, you are supposed to have someone who is empathetic to your cause and familiar to it. Then they bring that to the house and make the argument for you.
Aka, when someone brings up a federal code change proposition that will bankrupt the main source of jobs in your town, your legislature is supposed to go to bat, not fall in line and let your town die. 200 jobs being lost doesn’t sound like much to a large city, but in a town of 2,000 people that’s game over
