I actually read this in the tune of the Spongebob Squarepants intro
I actually don’t have experience with cats, but I can imagine they’re unpredictable

3·3 days agoThat shortened headline phrasing is semantically ambiguous. With context it’s clear, but it can also be read as “Meta has caught paying nazis in order to post on Facebook”

I get your point, but what would be an alternative term for content or creators in general? One that encompasses all types of media. Maybe “artists” and “art”, but that doesn’t always fit, I guess

4·4 days agoThis reminds me of a deleted scene from The Incredibles (2004) in which Helen confronts a party guest who said that it’s a waste of potential to spend years caring for your children instead of working:
I generally agree, but those terms you prefer are specific about the type of media. I think “creator” and “content” are still the most neutral and catch-all terms, but they have been tarnished by commercialized platforms.
I usually avoid corporate stuff, but not always. What term do you prefer over “creator”?
I think the next tier would be to only pirate media that is licensed by huge corporations and still buy indie media to support creators

(Just kidding)
I bought my somewhat high-end PC in late 2025, two months before RAMageddon. Two people advised me against it. They said it wasn’t a good time to buy because prices were already a bit high. I’m glad I didn’t follow their advice.

It looks like it’s standing to assert dominance
