It would be news in my opinion if there was an actual message behind it. But since there’s no warning, not even partial, it doesn’t carry political weight – which in my think the headline implies (though the article makes it clear that it’s not).

God, I hate this kind of news, it feels like it pops up every few months.

Germany issuing travel advisories is nothing newsworthy! They exist for basically every country (see https://www.auswaertiges-amt.de/de/reiseundsicherheit/reise-und-sicherheitshinweise, German only) and are updated regularly. The only thing that would be noteworthy if the US suddenly appeared on the travel warnings page: https://www.auswaertiges-amt.de/de/reiseundsicherheit/10-2-8reisewarnungen, on which the only surprising country is Japan, and the warning refers to the areas still affected by the Fukushima nuclear reactor accident.

As another example, Canada which is a very safe country, also has formally issued travel advisories: https://www.auswaertiges-amt.de/de/service/laender/kanada-node/kanadasicherheit-204874 though they basically only say “don’t worry”. But issuing an advisory is not what people might think it is.

It’s a cool shell, I use it as a daily driver (though I’m keeping a close eye on elvish which syntactically is even further away from classic shell), but the comments read like fish is basically zsh. And while zsh is pretty close to bash, fish isn’t.

Be aware that fish isn’t a POSIX-compatible shell enough, so you have to adjust syntax.

Which trolling is

There are plenty nowadays from what I remember.

1. They save on the ARM licensing fees. I’m not sure about the details, but I believe it’s both a flat fee and cost per chip produced
2. They can freely add proprietary vendor extensions, which I’m not sure ARM allows
3. They’re less restricted in general chip design (I think ARM has restricted options in the last years, Apple has some special privileges as a founding member)

Nobody loses it, people are just mocking companies out of touch with reality.

Note that while you’re statement is generally true, this particular case is about Hungary. Their current political party relies heavily on anti-EU rhetorics. So while for other countries, the issue is that they didn’t act sooner, Hungary has officially embraced Russian and US politics under Trump. But you cannot serve two masters…

Russia is in a tough spot here. On the one hand, they’d love to play the “see, everyone does it, so our little invasion is perfectly fine”, but Maduro was a political ally, so they can’t really do that. On the other hand, they look like the buffoons they are now because the US simply did to their ally what they couldn’t do to a country without major alliances; that is quickly invade and get rid of the head of state.

Of course, they will say something like “Ukraine isn’t actually a sovereign state but rather a Russian oblast, unlike Venezuela which is totally more legitimate, so what you did is totally different from what we’re doing”. Some doublethink will do, no need to actually state anything rooted in reality.
