That is a fair point, actually. If there were a theoretical systemd-free Ubuntu it may just tell something else like tmpreaper to clean on the same schedule and create the same vulnerability.

Your system could honestly be fatter without systemd if you try to replicate everything it does with external applications.
Maybe so, but systemd’s bloated feature creep still leads to security vulnerabilities. Another systemd root access exploit was just discovered a couple of days ago.

Still the second price hike and all of that occurred right after the first price hike. Players assumed the first hike was the trade-off to get rid of MTX since that was already the discussion at the time.
RuneScape is definitely fun though, I’m not disputing that.

Nah this is more systemd bloat and certainly invites criticism. Other inits aren’t even commenting, let alone complying.

This is very cool, but these squiggly underlines are making me feel like Microsoft Word is trying to tell me they’re wrong somehow, lol

Here’s a relevant diagram from the Gamefreak leaks.

Which games? Protondb is a great resource to see what games work on Linux. But basically all you need to do is add a game to either Steam or Heroic Launcher and then set the game to launch with Proton. That site will tell you if you’ll need a specific version of Proton for a game.

Oh, I thought these headlines were from the past and this was roasting Pocketpair for saying that
Yep, I saw the writing on the wall and tagged my 1.13.2 image locally. It’s still running fine on my machine and I added his animated donate button to my filter lists on ublock. I’m going to have to backup this image and keep using it until it breaks. Hopefully by then someone has a fork.

Use the Heroic Launcher. It uses the same proton as steam but doesn’t launch through steam.
I don’t know about advertising publicly that I pirate, lol
