No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•What's the deal the miracles jesus chose to do?
262·1 year agoWhat do you mean by deal?
One interesting thing I came across a while ago was that Jesus healing people was not very sensational at the time, as spiritual healers were not that rare. What blew people’s minds about the healing was that he was doing it for free.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•are there bots that downvote every comment users have?
7·1 year agoAre you seeing users with most of their comments at +/-0, or do you mean you see -1 on all their posts? I’m pretty sure there is a setting to have your own comments not automatically be upvoted by yourself. The users you have seen might just have had that turned on? Resulting in 0 for all their comments unless someone else upvotes it.
There was a similar question a while ago with some nice reads in the answers :)

Your description reminds me somewhat of my current favourite podcast. You might enjoy at least some of their episodes I think. :) https://www.weirdstudies.com/

Solarpunk Farming@slrpnk.net•Study highlights the potential of cyanobacteria as biofertilizers
3·2 years agoStudies have shown this for half a century. Microalgae are also proven water cleaners. Yet they are not applied large scale anywhere. There are a few microalgae based fertilisers on the market whete I live though!

Is this bait for getting justification for making sweeping statements about groups of people? Or am I just in a grumpy mood.
