We already have laws for voyeurism, and sexual assault, etc. that cover this. There does not need to be new laws that only exist to persecute individuals exercising personal freedoms and choices that affect no one but themselves. People claim the Chinese government spied on Americans in TikTok. Like, that’s probably true, but unlike America, China didn’t have legal jurisdiction over Americans, and American interests couldn’t censor anything. Obviously that couldn’t stand.

That’s kind of my theory about how TikTok was. It wasn’t subjected to US censorship and interests, only Chinese, so there was sort of a window where Americans could actually organize on it. Obviously that couldn’t stand once authority figured that out. Hence, the sudden cows being had over TikTok being owned by China.

I know on Reddit they had Amputator bot that would give the non AMP link to content if somebody posted a link using it.

People who watch Fox News and the like are never shown things like this. They are only given stories about alledged violent criminals being captured, when that is only a tiny fraction of the people being deported. The vast majority actually being people simply trying to provide for their families who have no criminal history, innocent children, people granted legal asylum, people with valid work or tourist visas, and even people actually going through immigration court to obtain legal citizenship.
