Yeah, I don’t exactly understand how but RIF is working for me, despite the fact you can’t log into it. I only kept it as a momento, but it still works as long as you have the subs you want to see memorized…

It had hard coded censorship. It got removed because it ran into the Scunthorpe problem and also was blocking certain nonenglish words that were slurs in english. I believe now there’s a configurable file you can set for your own filter now.

Bad idea. If you get enough tips they can start paying you as if you’re a tipped wage employee, shooting your pay down to like 2.13 an hour + tips federally in the US. States have different allowances that can be higher than that, but most don’t. You only need to be making 30 dollars a month in tips for your employer to legally start paying you as a tipped wage employee.

Especially egregious in games where you already climb around in other places!

I wonder if it wouldn’t be wise to try and emulate some of the easier/more participatable subreddits here. Askreddit theads for instance are a big pull (even if they tend to be. well, redditors post on them use your imagination).

I’m probably not going to get rid of my reddit account entirely, at least not until I get some better means of reading the news. Definitely not using it on mobile though, the official app is atrocious

The way it was explained to me was its kinda like email, you dont need to have a yahoo email to email someone on yahoo, you just need to have any email. You can pick an instance that you like the UI of the best or whatever and then access whatever fediverse content you want.
