I like how they’ve tactfully called the ones in the UK “No Tyrants”

I’ve been really happy with the pair of Flexon 609s I got off Amazon for $85 a few years ago. Still good as new after falling asleep in them and dropping them multiple times. Contact them if you aren’t sure you’re ordering the correct width, they have some listings that don’t seem to show up while searching for certain sizes. I’m probably going to get a second pair just because I don’t want to go back to my last pair even for the time it takes to replace lenses.

Regarding food, is there a food bank nearby? There’s no shame in going to one, they are often trying to get rid of surplus food before it goes bad.

As Peppycito said, they don’t make sparks, which is important if you’re working somewhere that could have explosive fumes. The lanyard is traditional for sailors’ tools to prevent loss as well as dropping it on someone below. Mostly decorative now but it’s convenient to be able to let go of the tool if you need both hands for something.
