Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What do you think of people who CONSTANTLY talk about religion?English
1·1 month agoYes, it probably does. But that’s literally not what this post is about. Make your own post about Reddit atheists and I’d be one of the first to upvote it. It just seems weird to bring up on a post about their religious equivalents, who do also exist. Why?

1·1 month agoIs there somewhere I can follow to see this if you end up open sourcing it? Sounds pretty interesting (personally I’m looking into a k3s-based setup but it’s always interesting to see how others do things)

Linux@lemmy.ml•Distrohop Recommendation Wanted: Fedora or Secureblue?English
2·2 months agoI’ve been on secureblue for months. It has it’s quirks but I don’t see anything in your post that would be a problem. You can turn off hardened-malloc on a case by case basis if needed, and this is especially easy for Flatpaks.

102·2 months agoIt’s because many of the people who hate on Rust and Wayland do so because they think these technologies are somehow too “woke” and not for any technical reason. I have no actual numbers for this though, it’s just anecdotal based on my experience with a few popular YouTube videos I came across. And it looks like lots of others agree, so this meme comes off as political, even if that’s not what was intended.

World News@lemmy.ml•China says US seizure of ships ‘serious violation’ of international lawEnglish
232·2 months agoOne of those is not like the others. What international law has China broken lately? Russia has one strike w/ Ukraine (technically against international law ig regardless of whether you agree with their reasoning). Meanwhile the US breaks international law every week and has been doing so for decades.

Chromium is the open source base without the google spyware on top, kinda like AOSP vs. “Stock Android”. Still sucks that Google has so much control over it, but it’s a solid web browser.
