Voyager@lemmy.world•Voyager seems to be the second most used client, according to pollEnglish
2·3 years agoThanks for the recommendation! Unfortunately I’m on iOS and Sync isn’t available :(
Yes, try Avelon OP! It’s really good. The UI is so smooth. Scrolling. And it has the ability to hide bars on scroll. It seems I’m the only one who cares about this feature haha but to me it makes content look much better without the navigation bars constantly being on display.

5·3 years agoAvelon is phenomenal. Especially the hide bars on scroll feature. No other app has this. I wonder if it’s hard to develop? I remember the developer of Apollo had quite a few bugs with it in the beginning.

1·3 years agoI like Voyager a lot. It’s definitely the most Apollo esque. Other than the lack of hide bars on scroll feature. The bars at the bottom and the top can be distracting and I find content looks better when they disappear as you scroll.
So far I’ve only found Avelon to have this feature.
What features do you want?

Apple@lemmy.world•Is it possible to get back the Apple TV Now Playing controls to the iPhone lock screen/Dynamic Island on iOS 17?
8·3 years agoHmm I’m using this feature right now on iOS 17.
When you play something on your Apple TV, open control center on your phone, press the AirPlay icon in the now playing section, select control other speakers & tvs at the bottom, and find/select your Apple TV that is playing content.
Now it should show the now playing widget on the Lock Screen and in the dynamic island.

Android@lemmy.world•Google says it can’t fix Pixel Watches, please just buy a new oneEnglish
4·3 years agoIt’s not the same situation though. Pixel watches are unrepairable even by Google.

Apple@lemmy.world•California launches digital IDs on iPhone… but without Apple Wallet supportEnglish
1·3 years agoWhy do companies(states) insist on releasing their obviously inferior takes on things that are already on our phones and work well.
This will probably go the way of Apple Pay. Many companies insisting on using their version of mobile pay until they eventually cave because they finally realized how shit it is
I just looked up the California wallet app for this and it has such low ratings.

Apple@lemmy.world•Apple joins opposition to encrypted message app scanning
4·3 years agoI wouldn’t say they’re hypocritical. I was in complete shock that they actually scrapped their iPhone scanning plans and now offer E2E for most of iCloud. They aren’t perfect but they definitely are better than most companies
