This episode was a close miss for me, it’s like it had the framework to be a good episode but they just didn’t finish it up correctly.

I’m seeing a slight improvement. I’m still hopeful this show can sediment into something good. I’m worried how they seem to have picked a protagonist once again, a thing I hated from Discovery.

It’s a bit weird that losing Qonos somehow wiped out the whole Klingon empire.

I agree that the resolution should be obvious, and after the Betazed episode, it is again ridiculous that political problems are solved at a school, but then again, it was ridiculous that Picard solved all problems in the galaxy.

Eh, that’s just how shows work. Just imagine that there are a slew of other problems being solved off-screen by characters we never met.

If no other law enforcement is willing to deal with them, they can do whatever they want.

I think much of the appeal of these stories, and post-apocalyptic ones, is that they put you in front of problems that are easier to understand and deal with. Needing to find food is a simple concept, even if it can be a difficult task, it’s something we have evolved to deal with.

Emails and taxes, not so much.

I was alive during the '90s, I’m Italian, in Europe we had the Yugoslavian Wars, my country was involved in the Kosovo war… If you asked anyone on the street they would have told you we were living in the most peaceful time in recent history.

The Federation is huge, it’s plausible that an important conflict like the one with the Cardassians still ranked low compared to those with the Klingons or Romulans.

I came to post this. I would have been super stoked, and I actually was when the Motorola Atrix was announced a lifetime ago, now my first reaction is “hell no!”.

Calling it retconning is a strech when it mostly added new story where there was none.

I live in Italy, in the valley around our biggest river. It’s humid as fuck. Summers used to reach 32-35°C. Nowadays 40-45°C is not uncommon. Our offices are usually air-conditioned, but production areas aren’t.
