Maybe the best-run election campaign I have ever followed. When I first heard about him, I was sure that he would make some blunders here and there, or somebody would dig up some legitimate dirt that could stick.

But instead his messaging was on point, at all times. The only dirt people found were like one statement about the police and one about the intifada, none of which mattered much. He held his own in the debates. His ads were interesting and incredibly well made. The music choices were great. Hell, even just the Bollywood style ZOHRAN campaign logo was worth a 100k votes!

I really can’t think of a single thing about the campaign that could’ve been done better.

Not a vlogger, but CarlH was a respected reddit user who had a long and successful series of C programming lessons on youtube. I remember going through some of his videos back in the day.

He was arrested for abusing and exploiting his own son for child pornography, and later commited suicide in jail. I guess you can’t fall much harder.

Obviously there’s many non-profits who have a larger and more “necessary” impact on humanity, but a personal favorite of mine is lichess.org. It’s the FLOSS, non-profit alternative to freemium and ever-more-enshittified chess.com. On lichess.org, there’s zero ads or trackers (yes, not even Google analytics). And not only does it have the superior philosophy, it’s actually just much faster and better as a chess server than chess.com.

Except in MAGA world everything is made up and the rules don’t matter.

I’ve watched part of this speech, and it made me wonder if his handlers actually sometimes roleplay stuff for him. Like, some stories he tells sound like they’re based on things he experienced in real life, but they’re obviously absurd, so maybe it was just things that were played for him to make him feel good?

Well ok, maybe he’s just completely talking out of his ass here. But look at this story about some tariff billions they found on a shelf:
