4·3 years agoAs if she’s not one herself? The majority of her votes in office were in conjunction with Trump’s agenda.

2·3 years agoI should probably get one seeing how I often end up just hugging the blanket when I sleep.

1·3 years agoBeen thinking about getting the McCain smile fries at the store for a while now. Do you ever get weird looks from the cashier, or do they not care?

2·3 years agoI was really bummed out when I developed lactose intolerance, but I was shocked by how good the Silk Dark Chocolate soy one was.
Also found some brands sell it lactose free here, but unfortunately they’re harder to come across in stores.

2·3 years agoI’ve been thinking about getting some stuff from my childhood again. I recently watched We’re Back on YouTube and while the movie is not great, it has a great charm, which has been making me think of getting the VHS tapes I used to have as a kid.
Aside from that movie, I’m also thinking of getting The Brave Little Toaster Goes to Mars, Anastasia, The Jungle Book, and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Fuck Cars@lemmy.ml•So... apparently Walmart's closing all of their stores in Chicago.
3·3 years agoMight be a cool idea to convert some of those large buildings into indoor farmers markets, and have the parking lots be flea markets or whatever.
I was recently sharing Lemmy to some people and how the entire Reddit blackout is stupid considering everything the platform has done in the past and the mindset of the CEO.
Someone brought up Voat and they were lamenting how that failed, and I decided to check out the WayBack Machine captures for it, and Christ, nothing but antisemitism and racism.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What was the weirdest thing an ex did while you were together?
2·3 years agoNope. She actually straight up forgot.
I introduced her to this place I would usually go to hang out in the community, and she’d tell everyone who asked if we were dating that we weren’t. I didn’t say anything because, being young and dumb, I just kinda assumed she was being shy and didn’t want to share with anybody.
Come a few days later, we were hanging out at the park close to her place, and while we were talking on the swings, she casually starts bringing up to me how she met this guy at a event her friend invited her to, and how he asked her out. I was confused, said I thought we were dating, and then after thinking over for a moment in confusion, you could see the moment of realization when she basically said “oh yeah, we were, whoops”.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What are you guys doing when there's multiple communities for the same thing across instances?
2·3 years agoAs a new mod of c/Alberta, the community for the province is much larger on Lemmy.ca.
However, that’s also simply because people are more likely to subscribe with how much more focused the instance is on Canada, so it’s a given more people will join it.
Honestly, so far, while I’ve been trying to get the Alberta community here up and running, I have no issue with the one on Lemmy.ca existing. If anything, I hope that the communities can co-exist because perhaps it’ll become the case where certain instances will develop their own cultures in the same way some Peertube instances do. We even have the Lemmy.ca communities relating to the province in the community sidebar to encourage people to take advantage of the federated nature of Lemmy.
