Iran wasn’t blocking their own shipping lanes, they weren’t shipping to the US. The US is saying no one will get oil.
Trump may be hoping other countries put pressure on Iran to deal with Trump, but I think it’s more likely Iran attacks the US military, or Europe does. Either way, it isn’t good.
Europe won’t dare, because their high tech military jets relied on American parts.
