So I’m reading a post, tab out for a while, and when I come back the app reloads and I have not found any way to go back to said previous post, is there any way to view a history of read posts? And if there isn’t, are there any clients that do have this feature?

And before anyone brings up likes and saves, those aren’t in the order that I read them, but in the order that they’re originally posted. I know that in lemmy 1.0.0 they’ve megred better like ordering, but until lemmy v1 releases I would like to know how I can go back to read things I wasn’t finished reading yet, either on this app or alternatives

Thank you!

Bit of a work around if you have hide on read turned on you can go through your hidden posts.

Don’t know any other way sadly

Yes! This is so frustrating, why does the app need to reload in the middle of me reading an article, and then why can’t it take me back to the same post I was in when it reloads?

The only workaround I can think of is to send yourself a message with the link. But it gets worse because it is pretty straightforward to share the link through an external app, within voyager you must copy the link, go to messages and send one to your name.

Another option could be to create a community and crosspost there as a bookmark.

I hate that, too. I’ll start reading comments on a post on the bus. When I get off and put the phone away or check the timetables on another app I’ll have to find the post again when I come back to Lemmy. I wish there was a way to stop this behavior.
