It’s almost by design. Take personal computing away from the masses. Control what can be done and learned on a cloud device. More control over the masses with the benefit of a cloud computer subscription.

I remember 10 years ago when he cosplayed the leather jacket cool guy gamer CEO. Dude has always been a wolf in sheep’s clothing. He’s gross and every time he refers to people as “humans” it makes my skin crawl.
This is why people should put CEOs in a pedestal. The Xbox fan base did that for years with Phil Spencer after the Matrick era. In the end that cool guy persona lead to a legacy of buying studios and shutting them down when they didn’t meet internal metrics. Xbox was left in a dire state with his departure same as it was when he entered.

I also have never played it and this might convince me to go back and check it out. I picked it up on Steam years ago for like five bucks.

I just wanted to say, thank you for the write up! It’s people like you who make Lemmy worth scrolling through. Outside of my Steam Deck OLED I don’t know anything about emulation handhelds. Very interesting and I like that all metal one for GBA/GBC/SNES games.

Good, I hope it does terrible. The only way to get what you want out of a mega corp is by tanking their financials until they change.
Disney won’t change but I boycott them regardless.
Good to know. Thanks for explaining that. Never would have guessed it was to pull out more nutrients!

Yes! Nursing really is having a resurgence. Pay is keeping up with cost of living in my area and travel contracts show promising wages in the areas I’m going next. Much better than it was 2019-2023. Those were some PTSD inducing years.

What a creepy thing to say. The guy pulling the strings on Ai talking about consequences lol

I do not buy products based on company morals. There is almost no publicly traded company that won’t sell the consumer out in a heartbeat.
If I bought components based on company good/bad I wouldn’t even be able to build a computer.
NVIDIA - Bad, Ai bubble, oligarchy AMD - Just as bad, Nvidia coat tail rider, oligarchy Intel - Bad, poor consumer practices for years Any company making RAM- bad, participates in price fixing and only get a slap on the wrist.
The only company on this planet I will blindly buy from is Costco. The CEO said “if you change the price of the $1.50 hotdog combo I’ll fucking kill you” - good
Otherwise I just buy what I need from where I can get it and move on with my life. Even avoiding Amazon is dumb since they make most of their money from AWS which means you’d have to boycott most of the internet.
I cancelled my subscription the first month they signed Blow Rogan. I’m not supporting any manosphere related company if I can help it.
Overnight oats is some other things with oats refrigerated or something? Idk it’s cold though so I’m not about it. I like a hot bowl of oats with my coffee and overnight oats always looks like a pudding to me.
I am a daily oatmeal breakfast guy. It’s great for you and affordable. Definitely better for you than the egg, bacon, and pan fried potatoes. To each their own though, I would call people who eat oats peasants though lol

I moved to a 9070XT from a 3070 and love it. I am a Linux gamer convert after falling in love with Steam OS. Nvidia on Linux is too much of a hassle imo. Plus my 9070XT on Linux smokes my 3070 on windows.

I didn’t realize Utah was so bad with their water supply. That’s a bummer to hear because that state is beautiful.

I learned my lesson with Palworld. I won’t play games until full release because you invest time into a game and then a large update releases 6 months after I’m playing something else. Then you jump back in and have to relearn everything again!
That is me with running. I feel like I could do a zone two run forever. Just such a refreshing activity.
