I zoomed in to my local area and typed pizza in the search box. A place with Pizza in the name was at the center of my screen. The search took me to a city in another continent called Pizza.

In case it wasn’t obvious, you have to be pretty fucking stupid to install surveillance in your own house linked to tech corporations, with your own money, while generating a profit for them.

Unfortunately, we won’t. The EU economy is so tied up to the US that the appeasement will just continue for now. For example Ireland, arguably the most critical European country of Israel, still hasn’t implemented BDS laws because the US threatened economic sanctions.

What I would love from DDG is a search option that removes those crappy AI generated websites that fill 90% of results nowadays. Ironically, they would have to use some kind of use AI to do it (classifiers)

Unsurprising results. It’s very rare to see support for AI anywhere expect some niche subreddits or Linkedin. Usually any whiff of AI is immediately downvoted

You can believe in magical fairy tech if you want. In the meanwhile I will continue to advocate for existing technology and societal change, at the risk of sounding like a “doomer”.
