Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Without mentioning War, ICE Raids or Epstein, What's the worst thing Trump and or GOP has done since the second administration?
1·16 hours agoever since they stole the first of THREE seats (so far) on the supreme court, i’ve always said that was the absolute worst
don’t be sad that you’re old enough to have played on a real life ps2, or even ps1-- be glad that 9/11, 2008, covid, and 2 diaperman potus terms aren’t the most significant core memories of your childhood
my moobs can beat up your mountains
if “my mountains can beat up your mountains” is some element of the conversation, i’m not talking at all, i’m walking the other direction

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•How come the ad industry make so much money?
7·4 days agothe stupid rhymes and jingles aren’t meant for anyone to like them, they’re specifically designed to get stuck in your head, regardless if the thing itself is relevant to you. WE ARE FARMERS ! BUMBADUMBABUMBUMBUM! you literally just sang that in your head. whether you meant to or not.
mind control and psychological manipulation are real and powerful things. they wouldn’t be spending the money on it if that weren’t the case. it’s about taking up as much space in your brain as possible, so that you have no space left for the competition’s jingle

7·7 days agoall trump voters, all completely mystified by the notion that maybe they’d been conned by a con man. again
it’s time to dump any skepticism about the ultimate end-goals of these fascists. it was time years ago. if you really think they are not taking steps toward a mandatory jesus theocratic christian sharia state, then you’re not paying attention
the “evidence” is everywhere you look, except the news headlines. which are written by controlled people and approved by the people controlling them

Games@lemmy.world•PlayStation 5 Consoles Come With Sticker Reminding Players of Disc Production End DateEnglish
2·10 days agoWhich isn’t that different from not being able to install PC games to anything other than a PC
that’s true, except the difference being you connect the ps5 to a tv, right? or a monitor–either way the ps5 itself typically pretty much stays in one place. i buy a game once on steam, and install it on a desktop and a laptop. i start a game at home, the save game gets synced, and i pick up where i left off on my laptop whenever i get to where i’m going. without paying a subscription. a lot of people include a steam deck in that mix. that’s the advantage of all digital–buy it once, take it anywhere. or only on a ps5 you’re logged into
i don’t know what reason they gave for getting rid of discs, but the huge advantage of discs is that you can sell your games and/or buy used games. i’m doubting that sony will let you do that with digital copies–steam doesn’t even let you do that
all this to say it was a really dumb decision that absolutely shits on sony buyers–the more discs you’ve bought, the more you’ve just been shat on.

does sony let you save games in the cloud for free? install games on multiple simultaneous different devices (even different OSs)?

18·11 days agoit’s for the surveillance for the christotechnofascists who need to convince all the pearl clutching evangelist deadbedroom karen moms that their kids are going to instantly become satanic infant eaters if they catch a glimpse of how infants get made, in order to get them foaming at the mouth to vote against everything except what the billionaire owner class wants
the messaging is pretty much “you shouldn’t have to be responsible for raising your own fucking kids–that should be up to the internet, public school, and libraries”
and of course those gullible chuds lap it all up like hogs at the trough
