No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•How does one create a community?
4·3 years agoThis is what I did:
Lemmy.world, On iPhone, in the browser, on the upper right hand corner there is a button with three horizontal lines. Tap that to open a menu, then tap “Create Community”
I don’t know if that will work with Jerboa though

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•How do I unblock someone on Lemmy.world?
3·3 years agoAhh thanks, I didn’t realize there was a tab for blocks. I was looking in settings but the settings menu stayed pulled down and covered it up

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•How do I search for communities outside Lemmy.world from Lemmy.world from iOS?English
1·3 years agoThank you, if it’s a matter of Lemmy.world not being updated yet then that makes sense. Your link works but pressing “subscribe” does not (it prompts me to login to KBin). Sounds like I just need to wait it out for the update. Thank you!
I haven’t managed to get search to work. I can find this comment by searching !catsubs@kbin.social but the magazine doesn’t show up as its own result. I wonder if it has to do with me using my iPhone to access everything or if I am fundamentally misunderstanding something or if it’s just slow right now. Edit: it’s not just this magazine either that I’m failing to fetch. Edit 2: apparently Lemmy.world is not updated yet to the version where this search works, and this problem should therefor be fixed with the next update

General Discussion@lemmy.world•Introductions! Introduce yourself, your OC, your pet, or whatever!English
1·3 years agoHello Mostly_Frogs, I am the
slaveowner of five cats and I am also here for the cats! I haven’t quite figured out posting cats quite yet. I mean, I have posted, but the pic either turns out sideways or it posts as a link instead of a pic… I’ll figure it out.I’m not sure about Lemmy yet. But it sure felt nice to post a cat photo after a couple weeks of Reddit chaos

Either are good. I found Lemmy.world more intuitive right off the bat, compared to KBin.social, from the browser on mobile (iPhone). Once I figured on how to turn on some accessibility settings on KBin (basically labels for all the things), I began enjoying KBin a lot more. KBin has more options for customization, and Lemmy is intuitive but doesn’t have that customization yet. Both still have a lot of development needed. Im probably going to stick with Lemmy for a bit because even with the customization that KBin offers, Lemmy is still easier for me to use, because I’m already used to Lemmy now
